So, I’ve finally gotten my hands on a copy of Dean Koontz’s Frankenstein (The Prodigal Son: Book One). I really like it so far. There’s a mixture of Dean Koontz in there and something new. Well, it is a compilation with another author. I like it, it sends a new twist on the old Frankenstein story. I’ve also read Phantoms recently. It was actually quite frightening. Like the feeling that if I step off my bed a monster will yank me under. Hah! It sounds so childish, I’m embarrassed. But I get into books and they feel like a movie or even an experience I’m having. It’s quite like Darkfall that book was also scary. And you know, I don’t get scared by books often. Grrr, I also got a copy of The Shining but I get to page eight and find out it suddenly skips ten pages. Someone ripped out the first ******** ten pages! I can’t read a book when it’s missing that much of the story. The Mist, the movie; was quite a disappointment. I waited over a year after reading the novella. I loved that story. And then the movie, it follows the book almost exactly, even with the dialogue. Well, of course; except for the ending. And then they even take out the fact that the guy was a cheating b*****d! I mean, he apparently loved his wife so much but of course; it’s okay if you go and ******** another broad that just happened along. Mrs. Carmody didn’t call Amanda a whore for nothing. And I feel that cheated the viewer out of some knowledge. But the ending, as sad as it was. I had to laugh. The irony. Well, gee we run out of gas; time to die. They don’t even wait like ten minutes. Hah, and after he killed his son the army comes. I love that. And Sweeney Todd, I wish I’ve seen the actual Broadway play but it was great. I loved it. The whole cannibal thing with meat pies…yes! And they became world famous!
I got my silkworms in today. They’re weird, they’re so soft but tickle when you touch them. And they stick to everything. surprised EVERYTHING. But Hannibal seems to like them a lot. They seem like they’re really filling. Just ten and she acted like I fed her fifty crickets. Silkworms are funny.
