Blood Noir was a unique item for Hamilton; she took one of the lesser characters and Anita out of town, she created a whole story there. And Hamilton doesn’t do that! I love this book. It was so different; I was stuck on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book. Especially the ending. It’s as if I was so involved I was playing Anita. But I swear; if Hamilton created another Phillip moment it would be like Odd Thomas. I spent a year delaying reading the rest of the series because he killed off Stormy! Ever since then I still cry when he mentions her in another of the books, the same for Phillip. There was such potential and hope going for Phillip. But he was just human. Overall I’m entirely excited for another Anita book. She shows no promise of slowing down the series and that’s very good.
