I have recently joined a guld called the Geizers Guild. Yup. I qualify. I had no idea just how many gians did. I thought that I was one of the few adult gaians around. I was very wrong. More then that... I have found that there are a lot of gaians thar are older then I am.

Another thing I have learned is that there are a lot of things we older gians agree on. Things were better when families lived, worked and played together. Some families do one of them, some do two of them, but very three do all three of them except on rare occasions. But truely happy families do all three of them. In this day and age its hard to do that. That doesn't make them bad families if they can't. It really doesn't. Sometimes its just impossible. I understand that. But the truth is its better that even if there is only one parent and kid that they do things together.

By doing things together it can be as simple as doing dishes together when it comes to work. It makes the chore easier and it gives the people doiing it a chance to talk about little things. When it comes to play together its as simple as goint to the park and playing frisbee or something like that. Maybe going fishing. In our house we still do things together. But it is hard for us to all do things together. It is a lot harder since one has had a girlfriend for over a year that he spends a lot of time with and that the oldest one is saving money by working to move out. Which is fine. He is at that stage of life. My third one is becomming a hermit and doesn't leave the house much at all and is happy like that. So it is harder to get the whole family together to do things. But we do make an effort to do all of those things together. We work together when we can and we go fishing and go to events together when we can. Its not easy to manage this. It does help that we include The second sons girlfriend whenever we can. She is a wonderful young lady. Its always a joy to have her spend time with us.
