I got a phone call from the local school today. I missed it. I called it back but the secretary said she didn't know where the call came from. I told her I knew it came from the school but she said that there are over 9 regular numbers and 90 extentions and there was no telling where it came from.

How is a person supposed to return a call to the school when he or she has no way of tracking who the call came from. Why does a school need 90 extentions? I hope she was exagerating. 90 is a lot of extentions. Who is paying for those extentions... oh yah... I remember... the tax payers. I also remember the school didn't have enough money for books and paper a few times. They said the school was broke. Hmmmm... I wonder why???!!! What is wrong with the intercom system? We have one. I know because I have heard it. With every teacher having their own cell phone these days there is no point in having a phone in every room. I can understand each coach having a phone and the agri/ shop building. I can understand each of the other departments having one. But not every room. This wide spread waste of money needs to be addressed in our local school system.

Not only was I upset that I couldn't find out who called from the school but I was even more upset to have to wait for two sons to tell me that they didn't make the call. Until the caller calls again I will still have to wait. When they call and complain that they couldn't get ahold of me... I will be more then happy to tell them that they are totally unreachable dispite the vast number of phones in that school.

Just a quick note. There are about 450 or so students in our little school system.
Do the math and see what you come up with. Students per phone.
