This is my girlfriend's response to my entry on 10-29-07. Kind of her side of the story. Here goes:
As she departed from her locker, Candace was suddenly pulled around the corner by three girls.
" Woah! Meg, Cait, Joyce, what's up? Something wrong?" Candace asked, her heart racing from the sudden attack.
" Spill, now!" Megan then ordered.
" Uhhh... Spill, what?" A look of pure confusion crossed her face.
" HELLO! Earth to Candace! You were SO drooling over him during lunch!" Cait then said.
" And music class! You couldn't even play Jingle Bell Rock and we've memorized that!" Meg added.
" So, who is he?!" Joyce then asked.
" Well, I, uhhh..." Candace's cheeks started to darken in red pigments.
" TELL US!" All three then said in unison.
" His name's Eric and he's a year ahead of me and he's really sweet and kind and funny and a lot of other things!" She blurted out all at once,her face now more red than a fire truck!
" Awwwwwww!!! That's so CUTE!" Meg said in a shrill voice.
" Oh, I know which one you're talking about! Yeah, he IS kinda cute!" Joyce then said with a smirk.
" Uh oh! Better watch out, Can! Joyce might just steal your man!" Cait said with a smirk.
" He's not MY man!" Candace corrected, but, you knew she wouldn't mind the idea being truth.
" Oh please!" Cait rolled her eyes, " I saw how he looked at you! Trust me, he looks like he's head-over-heels for you!"
" But... I really don't know much about him! I mean, we only have lunch and art together and we've only recently started talking so--"
" Hunny, face it! You've got a boy-toy and you want him!" Megan then said, " And we're going to help you ensure that you get him!"
" We are?" Cait and Joyce said in unison as they looked at Meg.
" Uh-huh! We are! Now, let's move out ladies!"
Everyone linked arms and began to leave the school together.
" Oh my." Candace sighed. 'This is going to be something...'
