Chapter 7

I woke up in my bed. I looked around in my room if anyone else was here.
No one. I looked on the floor. Max was sleeping. Since he is half wolf, he sleeps
on the floor most of the time.
"Max please sleep in my bed, so you won't hurt your back." I said drowsy.
He got up with his eyes closed and went to my bed. I went to my dresser
and got a white shirt with a heart, long pants ,
a gray hat, and a bracelet. I went to the bathroom and took a shower to
wake up. I got dressed and went to see my mom.
"Hi honey, you awake?" my mom asked. I nodded my head.
"Can you cook something? What's today?" I asked.
"Today is the 4th of October. And I'll cook pancakes." my mom replied.
I looked out the window to see if Terry was still there. He was gone. I went
to my room to see if Max was awake. He was still sleeping. I went to get some
money from my piggy bank and I grabbed a hammer. I put the bank on the
floor. I tapped on it, it didn't break. So I hit it harder, but no scratch. So I
hit it as hard as I can, but no even a crack. I sat on the floor just staring at it.
Few seconds later, I grabbed the bank, stood up, and threw it at the wall,and the
bank was broken. Finally. Max woke up.
"What was that?" he said confused.
"Sorry, my piggy bank wouldn't break so I threw it at the wall." I said giggling.
"Oh." Max said laughing. I went over to the smashed piggy bank. I only
found $44.50. We needed more money. Max got up and made my bed. How
sweet.
"Where are we going to go? My dad knows where my mom lives, and you don't
have anywhere to go." I asked.
"You, your mom, and I can stay in a hotel until we find a place to stay." Max
explained.
"Okay. Let's go tell my mom." I said while walking to the door, but Max grabbed
my arm and said, " Wait. I need to give you something."
He took out a black box with a pretty, white ribbon on it.
"I found this in the street when I was running from your dad, and I cleaned it
in your sink."
He finally opened it. There was a beautiful necklace with a red, heart-shape
ruby, and a gold chain. My eyes were glowing. He went behind me and put it
on for me. I was really blushing. Then I turned around, and looked down to see
it. Then I gave him a kiss on the cheek and gave him a hug.
"It's so beautiful, thank you so much! I'll never take it off." I said.
We both walked out of my room.
"Pancakes are ready!" I heard my mom screamed. Max and I went to the kitchen
and sat in the chairs where the pancakes were.
So did you have a good sleep? Also what was that noise I heard?" my bewildered
mother asked.
"The best thing to do is forget about it. But we did have a good sleep." I answered.
We finished our pancakes and Max and I were walking to the front door.
"I'll see you two later, here's $50.00, and go to the nearest hotel. Be careful."
my mom said. Me and Max both walked out the door. The door closed behind
us. Then suddenly, Terry jumped on Max and his claws close to Max's eyes.
I was shocked. Max was holding his claws away from him. I went by Terry
and I was trying to push him off of Max. But one of Terry's claws was free
from Max's hands, and his claw got close to my face, and his claws were in my
cheek. The claw was ripping down my face, and I fell to the ground. I felt blood
falling down to my face, to the ground. The last thing I saw was Max staring at
me, with his eyes wide open. Scared and worried. eek
