Chapter 20
(Rachel's point of view)
I woke up from that terrible nightmare. Again. Also, I heard someone
coming. They must be in a hurry because they're running. I also saw Terry
sleeping in the corner of my cell. To tell you the truth, I don't really want to
kill him anymore, even though he did try to kill me. He got beaten up for me.
*Yesterday, my dad was having a bad day at work because he needed
different kinds of blood, not the same kind.
Terry was talking to me from the outside of my cell. Until my dad came to
us.
"Rachel!" my dad screamed.
He came up to my cell and opened it. He walked into my cell and so did Terry.
"You DID cause a lot of trouble to this company, and now we can't tell if our
experiments are working or not!" He screamed and slapped me.
I put my hand on my cheek and a tear came out. It stings badly.
Terry saw that one tear that fell out of my eye and he got furious. So Terry
went up to him and punched my dad across his face. My dad also
touched his face.
"Don't you dare, hit her again!" Terry demanded.
"How dare you! I made you the best man in the organization, and you dare
hit me!" My dad screamed. (The best man is the best soldier in the clan ect.)
Then, my dad punched Terry in the eye. Terry fell to the ground and I could
see around his eye, it was getting darker and darker. Then my dad looked at
me. I just stared right back. All he did was pat my head. Then he walked out
of my cell. I rubbed my hand over my head. There was nothing there. Then
I went to Terry and sat by him.
"Does it hurt?" I asked.
"I don't really care, I want to know if your okay." Terry asked.
"I'm okay, I just got slapped, but you got punched in the eye. You shouldn't do
that to him. He gets mad really easily." I explained.
"Yeah, I know, I've been working for him for 5 years. I also had worse punches
than this." Terry explained.
I sat there and gave him a hug.
"Now you give me a hug." Terry said while grinning.
I grinned too. And he gave me a hug back.
Later on that same day, Terry came back to my cell 2 hours later. He had a
cut on he cheek, a long bruise on his arm, and scratches on his leg. And he
was walking fine.
"Terry, what happened?" I asked concerned.
"Your dad beat me up again." Terry said.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Terry replied.
"You should rest." I told him. He walked in my cell and lay down on my bed.
"Rachel, I'm sorry for everything I did to you." Terry told me.
"Terry, I'm sorry, but the things you did can never leave my memory. But I do
forgive you. Now go to sleep." I explained.
And he did so. I started to get tired so I went to sleep in the corner. He must
of woke up while I was sleeping and put me on my bed.*
The foot steps were getting louder and louder. Than I saw a shadow coming
down the hallway and started to walk. Then, I saw Max looking in the cells.
I started to cry. crying
