someone tell me this isn't what it looks like
tell me there is more to this than what i think
tell me there isn't anything more to me
tell me I've lost my heart long ago
and the pain is simply because it was ripped out
without anesthetic
tell me someones going to poke me in the sides laughing
cause it's a joke

apparently i'm the only one who can see
that no one else can see beyond themselves
and forget
THAT OTHER PEOPLE ARE ALIVE
and forget that other people have ties of their own
and that it's hard when they know
that they will lose and
SOMEONE ELSE KEEPS REMINDING THEM THAT THEY'RE WINNING
because no one can see that it hurts
because people don't seem to know
that the emotionless maid
is dysfunctional
