I don't know where that title came from. I think it was because I was trying to figure out if I even wanted to do a journal entry in here tonight. I said ok maybe just a little and thats what my title ended up being. Funny how thoughts like that can become the center of a topic.

I once was haivng lunch with some people I knew and it was an older couple. She asked him if he would like some desert. He said "Maybe just a little." Well, a little turned into quite a bit of icecream. I thought it was anyway. Seems he has a real sweet tooth when it comes to ice cream and she knew that. I decided that I didn't want just a little even for fear that it might be as much as he got and it would cling to my big fat white... uh...backside. To him it was just a little ice cream and to me it looked like a mountain.

When I say "Maybe" it means I don't know for sure. When it comes to this mans ice cream maybe was a certain thing that he meant that he didn't really know if he just wanted a little or not. WHich seems odd because he put it the way he did. But after years of marriage she knew exactly just what he wanted. To him that was a little bit of ice cream. it was exactly what he wanted.

Your "maybe just a little" could very well be very different from my "maybe just a little". We might have very different ideas on what a little might be. Or what a lot might be.

Keep that in mind when someone says something like that. Its really not very specific. You might want to fo further by asking them exactly what they mean by "a little."
