I have come to the part of my life where changes are numerous and close together. I used to think that when I had my children that was so but now that my kids are older I would have to say that that is even more so now. I have been experiencing a ton of changes in my life. But what effects me even more is the changes in the lives of the people around me. These changes in their lives are real page turners. They are the new chapter beginnings in the books of their lives. But because their lives are entertwined with mine for one reason or another... my life has changed too. The little changes I have in my own life that are caused be my are more like paragraph starters. But the huge changes in their life not only flip the page but also start new chapters in my life. Its amazing how the changes in one persons life can so drastically effect the lives of others.

For instance, my oldest son went to National Guard tech training this afternoon. He will be gone for a few months and then he is planning to move to another state. You might recognize this son from my last entry. Stop the presses! He says this doesn't interfere with my life... hold the phone big red! It sure does! Mind you he was bound to grow up and move out some day. And truth is he is an adult now even though he still has to have the drivers liscence that says he can't buy liquor. So it was bound to happen sooner rather then later. However he has always, up until very recently, talked about settleing here and buying a good sized piece of land. The son who I thought was going to stick around is now planning to flee to the coast line. This means... he won't be around for holidays etc. He won't be around to help or to be helped. And a long list of other things. However this plan of his could change.

Son number two is nearly an adult. The big change for him is the seriousness of the relationship with his girlfriend. Its very serious. And that is ok with me. As long as they stick to the plan they hatched out a while back. They plan to get married next August. Maybe that sounds like it could be a little young to you. They will be young. But they will both be of legal age and won't need parent signitures. I love this girl of his and she is perfect for him. Not many people find someone that perfect for them so early. With family support they will do just fine. They both are intellegent and strong and hard working and they have what it takes. This means son number two will be moving out soon as well.

Now there are always people in life who aren't in the family who somehow manage to effect your world so much that it amazes you.

A man once invited my family to his church. He didn't tell me but it turned out he was the paster. We went and we loved it. For three years we went to that church with them as the pasters. I taught one of his children in Sunday School and my husband taught one of his children in his class and then later I taught some on Wednesday nights. His wife who became a good friend of mine recieved a very high honor by being asked to take a job in the state capitol and they left. Well, I don't know what all happened after that anymore but it was hard to get my other wise happy to go family to bother to go with my anymore. Infact they quit wanting to go at all. Infact I started not wanting to go. Until I stopped going altogether here recently. I no longer go there. This was a big part of my life for the past four years. For my whole family actually. There is a lot more to that story but someo f it is so personal that I won't go into it. But because their lives were intertwined with our lives, our lives changed when they left.

Now not all changes are bad ones. Some are good ones. Even if we don't know it at first. Its worth waiting to find out most of the time. I think everything will be fine in the end. I just have to wait and see what this journey called life has in store for me and for them and for well everyone. Its an exciting journey that has its twists and turns and ups and downs. But its worth hanging in there and not going nuts just to see what is going to happen next and after that and after that. biggrin
