I don't know if you have noticed this but some people are calling Senator Obama, President Obama.

I don't know if they are confused or what. Last I heard it is only July. There has not yet been a presidential election. It is in November. Even if he did win then he would only be called presidential elect Obama until Jan of '09.

Don't get me wrong. I would get miffed by this no matter who they were doing it to. If it were Snoopy, Charlie Brown's beloved pooch, I would feel the same way. It has nothing to do with my vote at all. But to jump the gun and call someone president when there is a current president is disrespectful. Not only to the current president but also to the person they are doing it to. In this case Obama. He hasn't finished his race yet. These people that have already decided for themselves that he is the new president have not concidered the fact that the man is running the race of his lifetime and needs the respect of those people so that he can continue to run the race. If they have decided he already has it won then how are they helping him to win (or lose) the race.

Now, how about that young man who was selling his vote on E-Bay? Interesting isn't it? However buying and selling votes is quite illegal. I can see where this guy might do this, though. Desprate times call for desprate measures. After all he probably needed to put gas in his car.
