Ever wonder what another person is thinking? I don't mean someone you know that you are standing next to or even attracted to. I mean someone you don't even know. A person sitting in the corner alone at the local Burger King or someplace like that.

They sit quietly and you notice they are deep in thought and eating slowly. You notice their appearance. Sure that is normal. The way they are dressed. Cool shoes, nice shirt, basic jeans. Nothing really special. But they are so lost in thought it kind of gets your attention. Every once in a while a look comes across their face. Different little looks for different little thoughts. They look sad for a second but then a flit of surpirse hits their face. Like they just realized they can solve a problem. Then maybe they look happy for a minute. Maybe they don't. Maybe they end up looking like they suddenly lost hope. Like they think what they thought of would never work. I prefer to see that happy look.

They are nearly through and don't realize they are out of fries. They look down and sigh. They have to get up and get rid of their trash. Maybe get a refill before going out the door.

And while you are sitting there thinking about what they are thinking about you dont notice you just ran out of fries. You sigh. You are about done and its about time for you to leave too. You will never see them again. Its a big city. But you realize when you are done and its time to go ... you realize you are going to miss thinking about them. For a moment.

The person a few booths away... was wondering what you were thinking too as you walk out the door.
