Yes! Because I have nothing better to do right now (And the rest of Gaia is being stupid. Damn Archiving) I have decided to bring you my First Annual Gaming Awards. Now mind you, These are just about the games I own. XD I figure I haven't been giving my games enough credit lately. And yes- most of the ideas I got are from Nintendo. Hey, I'm not being paid to be original right now. In fact. I'm not being paid at all.
Part 1: Best Games
Best Game on GCN:
1. Resident Evil 4 Come on, is that really a surprise? I mean, I've only been blabbering about it for the past few months. Maybe not here, but my friends near me have. The graphics are amazing, shooting up the zombies is still good fun. And I had the occasional chuckles. All good for me.
Runner-ups: Tales of Symphonia, FF:Crystal Chronicles, RE:3
Best Game on PS2:
1. Kingdom Hearts/ Fatal Frame Now this one was a toughy. KH had awesome voiceacting, wonderful cutscenes, Disney AND Cloud Strife. Fatal Frame is my all time favorite scary game. Creepy atmospheare, good graphics and very easy controls. Not to mention both had stories that I loved.
Runner-Ups: Way of the Samurai 2, Fatal Frame 2, Final Fantasy X
Best Game on N64:
1.Harvest Moon Another tough one, but in the end my heart went out to HM. How could you not love a game about farming animals, raising crops, and wooing the woman of your dreams? Sure, the farmer looks like he's 5 (in fact, he's 21), but graphics aren't everything. Now, if only they'd get on with the English version for the Girls... Runner-ups: Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time, LOZ: MM, Pokemon Stadium
Best Game on GBA:
1.Fire Emblem Indeed, as much I love this game, I never got around to finishing it. Mainly for reasons of having to start from the beginning a billion times. None the less, the music is catchy, the character designs are awesome, the interaction with characters make me laugh now and then, and it's a tactics game that doesn't totally frustrate me.
Runner-ups: Pokemon Series, Golden Sun, Harvest Moon
Best Game On DS:
1. Sprung I am very aware I've only played two games on the DS, but hey, I figure this game should get some light. It's quirky. This game made me laugh almost to non-end. It's great for those who just want something quick to play and have a good laugh while playing it. Sure, you may think only nerds without Boyfriends or Girlfriends play these, but you'll see, it's very addictive. >.>
Runner-up: Mario 64 DS (Duh)
Best PS1 Game:
1. Final Fantasy IX Ah, my second favorite FF numbered series. Great looking towns, better battle system that VIII, not bad music, and neat character designs, guys running around in thongs... yep. This game as it all. Not to mention wonderful cutscenes, of course, what's a Square game these days without those? Yes, I like graphic whore, so what? You know that you like good stories with pretty graphics too. Don't deny it.
Runner-ups: Parasite Eve II, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VIII
More to Come tomorrow I guess. Or the Day after... >.> Depending what spare time I have.
