By now all Canadians should know that the elections are coming up. It's that time of year where we all get to vote the liberals back in. I myself, can't vote because I'm under 18. This just makes everything more frustating because the voting starts only month before my birtday. Sometimes, life just isn't fair. Not that I'd make a difference, but it would sure as hell make me feel better and powerful. Oh well, next year.
I'm not a political no it all. In fact, most of my information use to come from This Hour has 22 Minutes and Monday Report. Though I have to admit, their satirical comments were useful and made it far more interesting to find out what was going on in the world. Either way, I do know enough to know what's going on.
Anyway, I was watching the actual news just moments ago when they were talking about tonight's debate in English. Tonight is paticularly special because the NDP site has cooked up something special for all of us. While listening to Paul Martin make his speech, you can also play bingo at the same time!
The NDP When listening to Paul Martin talk, do you ever say to yourself ? that sounds familiar? Didn?t he say that last time? If it was a commitment to do politics differently, clean up the environment, cut the costs of going to university, or improving health care?you?re absolutely correct. He?s says a lot of things and it?s getting harder and harder to believe him. His biggest problem isn?t making promises ? it?s keeping his promises. So as a public service, we invite you to gather around with family and friends, get some beer and popcorn and settle in for ?Give?em the Boot? Bingo during this Friday night?s English Language Leader?s Debate at 8:00pm ET/5pm PT. During the debate, just cross off each phrase on your bingo card as Paul Martin says it. The first player with five-in-a-row wins.
If I were serious about politics, I'd be offended, but truth be told. I find this hilarious. If I had a printer, I'd be playing that tonight. Truthfully, I think they should have it for each of the candidates, just to spice things up.
Anyways, if you have nothing to do tonight and might just feel like playing bingo with a few buddies, why don't you pick up your bingo card here Who knows, maybe it will be time well wasted.
Me, instead of playing bingo, I'll just be making snarky comments at the T.V. I have a tendancy not to believe anything that any of the candidates say. I'm sure that NDP, the Bloc, and the Consersetives would have done the same had they been given the chance.
Me? If I were to vote this year, it would probably be for NDP or Liberal. Out of the all of them, I trust Harper the least. That's just my opinion though. Maybe it's just me being under the influence of Rick Mercer's words "The Liberals Shall Rule Canada Forever".
