Random Things Pop Up at the Most Inconvienient of Times. |

Yep, this is a rant. Because I feel that I'm probably annoying to many people in the outer world with this ranting, I mind as type it somewhere. If you're not in the mood for anger and suicide bashing, then don't bother reading this.
Did you ever notice that when you want something remotely interesting to happen, it comes during the most inconvinient of times and it's usually bad? Yeah, that's what happened to me.
Okay, so everyone was going great and grand. School was doing pretty okay, it was just four more days until the Harry Potter movie, and I had a great Karate Class. The only thing was that I had to study for a History exam, but I figured I could do that on the bus or when I got home. I would've had enough time either way.
The thing with buses and metros is that the movement of them makes me drowzy, so studying was sorta out of the question, but that was okay, I'd be able to do it once I got back.
After my Karate (about 9:00pm), I headed towards the Metro station. There were sure a lot of people around, but I didn't think much of it. Suddenly a girl on her cell phone looked at me. "The Metro isn't working."
"Huh?"
"The Metro isn't working. It's been down for two hours."
I twitched for a second. I didn't really need this right now. So, I decided to study a bit, waiting to see if it would start up again.
Still down. Obviously, waiting wasn't going to do me any good, and apparently this wasn't the best metro to stay at late at night. So, I figured maybe I'd call my sister. She'd probably be home by now. No answer. Tried her cell. No answer. Tried her Boyfriend's cell, no answer. Great. Just great. What sucked even more was that there didn't seem to have a bus going to my stop on Lionel Groulx. I was frustrated. So, I tried calling a few more times and I then decided that it would be best that I a least get remotely close to the stop that I wanted. So, I waited for the 17. Luckily enough, there was a Special Bus dropping everyone off at the Metro stations on the Orange line, so there was some justice in this crazy system. I didn't get home 'til about Midnight, and I still had homework and studying to do. My brain was fried, my body ached from Karate, I was not in the most pleasants of moods. I didn't get to bed until about 2:00 this morning... again! And this time it wasn't even for a good excuse!
Do you know why the Metro was closed? It was because some moron decided that they were going to commit suicide and they were going to go out with a bang. They suceeded too. p***k.
Yeah, I know I sound harsh right now, but this isn't the first time I've heard about suicides. My hometown was full of 'em and I knew a lot of them one way or another. Whether it was through hanging themselves in a closet or blowing their brains out, I've heard of it. Apparently, it's not an uncommon thing for someone to commit suicide via la metro or subway either. What. The. Hell. I am angry for many different reasons. I've now come to the point where I am more angry than sympathetic for a person who has just taken their life away. Why? Because I've heard every stupid bullshit reason. My girlfriend/boyfriend dumped me, I gambled my life away, I have drug problems, no one likes me, blah, blah, blah. I'm sorry, but I've known a lot of people with those problems, and they're still trying there best because they know that someday, things will workout.
Plus, what are you really doing? You think you're doing everyone a favor because you're not around? Please. Once more, a load of BS. No matter who you are, there is always at least one person in your life that cares about you. Whether it be family, friends, or some random person on the street, they will care about you. You taking away your life will just ruin theirs. If that's what you want, then you really are just an a*****e. In fact, you're even more so one if you throw yourself in front of a subway. Why? Well, guess who has to pay for it? Most likely a family member or friend. So much for not trying inconvieniece anyone.
Plus, what about all the people who had nothing to do with your life? Once again, you're just being a hypocrite. "Oh, if I was dead, I wouldn't have to inconviniece anyone and everyone would be fine. " Guess what genius, you jumping over that ledge just made us have to put up with your stupidity. Now, maybe my study thing wasn't a big deal, but I'm sure there were people who needed to go somewhere important. Not to mention you probably traumatized a few kids and even adults with your head popping off as your body hit the speeding metro. Nice job, jerk.
I'm sure a lot of you are saying "You have no idea what that person went through! You have no right to judge somone who is suicidal if you're never had to deal with it yourself!" You're probably right, but as I said before, I know many people around me who killed themselves and cotemplated doing so. A few of my friends have thought about it, and one even tried a few times in the past year. Me, I was the person who probably would've been beating herself up for it, feeling that I couldn't do anything. So yeah, I may not know how you felt, but I know exactly how the other person would feel.
Anyways, I just thought I'd let that out. I have tons more to say, but I think I'll just leave it at that.
