The Night Of Halloween (Chapter 4)
Chapter [4] : Hollow Moon
((Note to all people reading this, mainly erb and shan.. rolleyes the story will now be written in past, because I am forgetting how to write in the past.. lol.. sorry if this is an inconvenience..))
The Moon shone especially brightly for those few moments, Alexial could feel the intensity of the rays, but this did not do anything but confuse her. It was only until she mustered up the courage to say, "Reks? Why can I see the moon when we are in the moon's domain?"
At that point Reks began to stare at her, however this stare was far different from his usual grim expressions, it almost seemed as if he was happy to answer her question.
"Alexial, in heaven, you don't get taught anything about this place do you?" Reks remarks happily. "This realm is run by death gods, these are not normal Gods may I add, like many Gods and Goddesses they each do not govern death or any particular aspect of Earth like many human religions foretell,"
"Who are these death gods? Have you met one?" she asks him in an irritatingly inquisitive tone.' I can't tell her, she will..' Reks looked at her, then turned away. Once fully hiding his eyes from her view he mumbled to himself again.
"Alexial, I have not met a single Death God! May I remind you, this race of beings are mightier than gods and demons, originally their duties governed birth, but due to corruption in heaven and hell, Death Gods were left with nothing but power, there was too much for them to handle, many of them were burned and tortured by it's intensity, It wasn't until 'Blood Moon' came that they channeled this power into governing death." "In a way they have become more powerful, as the gods advanced however, these death gods have lost a lot of their abilities, after restraints from conquering Valkyries." "Therefore death gods find it hard to kill their own species and those outside their realm, they have their largest amount of strength against Gods and Demons in this realm."
"Reks, how do you know this? Does this mean we are in danger?" she questions. Reks replies with a stern look followed by a hesitant nod. "Reks, you can put me down now, I want to try and walk". Reks obeys and put her down.
After several hours of stumbling and the occasional falls, Alexial heals, the pace of her walking speed steadies and she no longer needed the support Reks. She still could not attempt pressured movement but her recovery was constant. Although the more she fell, the more she enjoyed being crippled, as it was Reks that would catch her she fell, it was Reks that nursed her injuries and it was Reks that kept her going...
