The Night Of Halloween (Chapter 3 Part 4)
After the moment passes, they finally muster up the courage to speak again.
"Reks? Uhm.. W-when I was being.. You know.. Harmed..Why did you?" She stares at him with some happiness, expecting a certain answer.
"Because, you're annoying!" She smiles at the grunt of Reks.
Reks picks up his cloak and wraps it around his wings and limps off, he points at Alexial, then points forward. She immediately notices what Reks is trying to imply and rushes over to him, slightly trailing behind.
"What's this? You are going slower than I am, something tells me you are not okay", he looks at her, attempting to pierce her gaze, causing her to tell him. Unfortunately she looks away.
"I am ok, you worry too much", Why am I asking this anyway! I don't even like her! But for some reason, I don't want to kill her, why? She is the first person I do not want to kill! He looks at her, angrily.
"I know you are not ok, I already knew you have been stabbed in the leg, it would have been better if you had told me!"
"I am a Valkyrie, I am meant to be one of most elite fighters in the universe, a stab is not meant to be of any harm to me"
"Yes, but you are not too powerful without your powers, Valkyrie are not trained in martial and physical combat, you have to rely on your weapon, or your magic" Alexial sighs, still staggering along behind Reks. Reks stops limping and walks properly. "If you were wondering why I purposly limped, it was because I wanted to check if you were hurt, I could sense pain near, I knew you were going to be stubborn, but not this stubborn".
"Seriously I am fine". Reks stops, he looks at her, then picks up her, they gaze into eachothers eyes until Reks breaks the trance and looks away.
"This way we can move faster". Alexial smiles, and rests her head on his shoulder.
