Oddball Ramblings.... And stuff.
Letters... Lots of letters. And ellipses. Lots of them, too.
The Eternal Quest for Pants
Well, today was a lackluster day... Even if it's only 6 am. All I did for the most part was sleep, but that's good since I am a chronic Insomniac, and I take my sleep when I can get it. However, this causes me to have days, or even weeks, where my whole day/night cycle is, well, ********. I'm awake when 90% of the people I know are asleep, and vice-versa.

So, when I woke up and had no one to talk to, I turned to one of my loves: Gaming. Seeing how Devil May Cry 3 was my latest purchase, I decided I'd sink some quality time into it. Bad idea. I mean, I'm no slouch at games, as I've been playing since I was like 3, but this game is hard. Not too hard, as in "Throw your controller at the cat" hard. But it's hard enough to frustrate most people. Me, I've had a relatively easy time, but that's before I tried to play mere moments after awakening. Blurry vision is not beneficial when you are playing one of the fastest moving titles on the market. If I were playing Xenosaga Episode 2, I would have no problem, as I can take my sweet time.

Hehe, speaking of that game... Well, before I get into that story, let me give a bit of exposition. I work at a Gamestop, so all of my fellow coworkers are at least mild to moderate gamers. My manager, on the other hand, is what I call a "Casual gamer". He only plays the popular titles, or anything a magazine/TV tells him to play.. So, I was quite shocked when I heard he was looking forward to Xenosaga 2, as I never would have coined him as a RPG nut like myself. February 15th hits, and me, Rob, and Mike (Me and Rob's manager... Yes, I work with my best friend, and it's one of the saving graces of that job.) head home with our copies. Me and Rob have the game beat in a matter of days, as we have been anticipating it for many a year. Mike... Well... 3 weeks pass, and he's still stuck on the first "dungeon" area, getting his a** handed to him by the random encounters. So he trades the game in, citing it's horrid difficulty. I dunno, but he earlier mentioned the fact that several magazines and game shows gave the game a low score, so I can't help but wonder if his decision was influenced by those... Maybe I should bribe G4 into airing an ad that says "Chris needs a raise..."

Anyhow, you probably now know more about me than you probably wished, so I'll take my leave. Once again, thanks for reading....
