Some people wonder why others have difficulty accepting change. They prattle on about how change brings new and exciting things to your life, while the opposition replies with, "I like my world the way it is now, I don't want things to change."

Now I see the wisdom in retaining the status quo. We got our inventory results in, and as a result, my entire management staff was fired, thusly a new team was brought in. They brought in a new store manager, and he's hiring a new ASM, then he's promoting one of the most inept people I've ever worked with to the second ASM slot. For those of you who've followed my exploits over the past few weeks or so, you know I was up for said promotion. Not any more. The manager knows nothing about me, whereas my old one knew I was a dependable guy, deserving of the spot.

Add that to the fact that he neglected to give me the days off that I had requested weeks earlier (There was a note that I had written placed on top of the schedule book), including my birthday and the day I had planned on going to Ozzfest. So I'm now becoming more and more jaded by my job. I was hoping and planning on the promotion to finally get things in order in my life. Now, it's nixed.

Great. Just when I was going to get ahead, I get tossed 5 miles back. Meh.
