Take time to fish out the guppies.
Dreams (exchange 33)

Morning brought no new changes to his demeanor. He was lower in spirit than the previous afternoon. By now though, he had already made his decision.

With no apparent sense of time or speed, he gathered all his belongings (which were indeed rather few) and stowed them haphazardly in a worn, leather sack. All the while, the scene from yesterday played repeatedly in his head. The words he shouted, the hurt on her face, every detail so clear. The pain it now caused him weighed heavily on his soul. And now it was time for him to say goodbye.

Taarven was not at all pleased to see him on his feet when he came with his sack thrown over his shoulder. Thus he was no longer in possession of a job. It meant no never-mind to him anyway. He would enjoy his freedom with the little money he had saved and never think twice about leaving his old world behind. But before embarking on his one-man quest, Jaelin paid a quick visit to Mr. Nolnek, the printer. And for a dull bronze coin, he willfilly accepted the task of writing to dictation....

One of the kitchen staff met him at the door to the servants' quarters. He said that the letter he was giving her was to pass through the hands of Amara to her master. Though he hoped Amara understood that he would never under any circumstances willfully speak to the baron. With a quick word of gratitude, he turned and headed for the base of the hill, where the road branched off into town or the forest.

The kitchen staff stayed in the kitchen, and so when the note came into their possession the first they did was call for Amara. She came obediently.

Without casting a glance at the letter, or saying anything, she took it to the Baron in his office. The pudgy man was bent over his books, doing sums with all his money. It made her bitter to think of how greedy he was. He had so much and yet he did nothing of any importance with it.

She curtsied a little bit, handing him the letter. "Post for you, sir."
