Take time to fish out the guppies.
Dreams (exchange 23)

His time spent in the marketplace was restful if anything. He could sit against the nearest wall and daydream about helping Amara to freedom. Always the dreamer he was. He was the hero, the good guy, the one that always saved the day. In truth he was the workhorse, the nobody, the one that nobody ever noticed.

That was no matter when Amara appeared by the food vendors. She took her time strolling from one stall to the next, conspicuously trying to find him in the populace. After assuring that there was no one he knew nearby, Jaelin strode up beside her and pretended to be interested in a bundle of fruit.

"Thank you for coming," he murmured so the vendor couldn't overhear. "How much time do you have today?"

If he felt unnoticed, it was nothing to how she felt. The only people to pay attention to a slave were their masters and those who they did business with. But for the most part, she didn't mind not being noticed. It kept life simple and quiet, and her out of trouble with the Baron... but also it kept her lonely.

"I have at least an hour," she murmured back to him, glad to hear his voice.
