Take time to fish out the guppies.
Dreams (exchange 21)

From her perspective? Jaelin thought as he sat alone on the roof of his ramshackle house. The night's cool winds brushed his face and blew his bangs into his eyes. All I would see was me, wouldn't I? She never looks away. But he took it into account when he came to bed late in the night....

The dream was the same as it was every night. The crowd milled. The vendors proclaimed discounts and sales. The girl continued to stare. He had a short amount of time before his captors arrived. What could he do differently to solve his own problems? The only thing he could think of was to call to her from where he was.

"Amara!" Jaelin had to shout for his voice to carry over the noise of the people. "Do you know who I am?!" He didn't bother worrying about those around him. This was a dream. No one cared what you said in dreams.

Amara felt tortured that night in the dream. She wanted to do something more than she'd been doing all the other nights. But as the crowd quieted from their celebrations to let the warriors pass with a note of severity to the air, she found herself planted in the same spot as always.

And there he was... But... different...

She blinked when he shouted her name. It was like he'd broken the string that kept her from moving.

"Jaelin!" She called back, stepping forward. Unbeknownst to her, the sword still rose up behind her, slicing down and ending the dream with her death.
