All my life we have had a big giant Green fake Christmas tree. The stand was thick metal and the base was sturdy. The branches were thick, and trying to reach the pole through them meant scratching your hands up. Now last three Christmases we have had to buy new trees, every year, and every year they get scragglier and more plastic. Now in order to buy a really good tree you have to shell out a bit of money. So we get stuck buying a new one every year. This year my mom bought a white tree. Never had one before but it is looking nice, probably because our living room has a green theme and the green of the tree would just disappear into the walls, but this white is standing out!! Unfortunatly it too is plastic, it is scraggly and supposedly 6 1/2 ft tall....maybe with the tip top branch stretched till it is about to snap off...oh well! I don't mind so much because it is something different and maybe the smell of all the plastic will keep the cats away from it razz
