I feel my heart breaking all over again.
I had a sweet dream last night
about someone else.
First time ever.
And I don't feel guilty.
I feel weird.
But I thought I could
edit these poems.
Tidy them up, attach some notes.
I have the memories of them all
perfectly preserved.
And even though the Tony I know is
dead, lost forever
My heart shattered again.
Fresh, as if he had just said the things
that inspired the poems.
As if he had just told me his last lie.
As if.....
I suddenly can't remember
how good he used to be
and it's a shadow in my mind.
a warm shadow
that I'm chasing.
