Chapter 10
As I was walking back outside, I noticed my cut was starting to bleed. But it didn't really
bother me, so I kept walking. When I reached to the hospital doors, everybody was still
cheering because of their triumph of the battle.
"Everybody, I got food and drinks. If you can, please share. I didn't have enough for
everyone." I screamed to the group of excited animals.
"Everybody take your party anywhere but here," the doctor said," we have sick patients
trying to sleep."
Then he walked backed inside the hospital. So we all went to a forest.

I was sitting and leaning on a tree. I was very tired. The party was still going on, and it was one o'clock
I could tell that Max was having fun. You might think that's bad that he's not with me, but
it was ok. He needs to have fun since he was in a lot of trouble from my dad. And I felt ashamed.
"Please get up." Max came to me and asked.
"I'm sorry about everything my father has done to you." I said while my head was down.
"It's not your fault. Everything will be better soon. I promise." Max said with a smile and
loving voice.
He helped me up and he gave me a hug.
Then he said," Now, give me a beautiful smile."
I looked at him and gave him a smile.
"That's better. Now, come dance with me, and you have to have a good time." He said as
he grabbed my hand tightly. And I never wanted to let go. <3

A few hours later, the party was over. Max and I were walking back to my home where my
mom was. She was also at the party, but she went home early. Max and I have been talking
all this time walking back to my house.
"Did you have fun a the party?" Max asked.
I nodded my head, but I felt a sudden burst of weakness in my legs and fell on the ground.
Max of course, was shocked of what happened. He kneel to me and asked," What happened? Rachel, are you ok?"
I looked at him, then he said," your cut, it started to bleed again. You must of lost a lot of
blood. Get on my back, and I'll carry you home."
I touched my cut and I felt blood streaming down my cheek. I wiped my fingers and got on
his back and he carried me home.
"Stupid doctors. They didn't cover it well. I swear human doctors don't care about
half-animal people at all. They only care about pure humans." I said.
Max was silent, but he was still continued to walk.
"Max are you ok?" I asked worried.
Max started to blink and said," Oh sorry, I kinda spaced out. But I do think your right about
the doctors. Rachel, there's almost a full moon. I need to stay indoors tomorrow all day
until the day is over."
"Why?" I asked.
"Because I'm half-wolf, and when there's a full moon, I can't control myself, and I go wild.
I need to stay away from doors and windows." Max explained.
"So all half wolves do that?" I asked still confused.
"If their strong enough, they can control it. But I'm not that strong. See, since us wolves control ourselves when
there's not a full moon, the wild side of us has a certain time of day they can take control.
That's when there is a full moon. Do you understand?" Max explained.
I nodded my head yes.
"I think I can see my house," I exclaimed," You can let me go now, I think I can walk now."
Max let me climb off his back and I stumbled a little. And he grabbed my hand to get my
balance back. I used his shoulder for support. And we both walked back to my house, getting
closer and closer.
As Max and I was walking toward my house, me and Max saw Terry with my mom. But when
I looked at my mom's face, she didn't look mad of what Terry had done to me, she looked sad.
"Max stay here, I'll call you if I need help."I said quietly. I walked up to my mom and Terry.
"Your not allowed to see Max !Ever again!" my crying mother screamed at me while she hugged
me.
