A horse whinnied and burst down into the village. " Link and Illia!" the horse halted and two hylians dismounted. Link was clad in green and the mastersword was slung on his back. he approached Dark Link slowly, and they stared at each other. Link looked confused.
"what's the matter? never seen your own...shadow before? you've got to remember something..."
instead of unleashing the wrath of the mastersword, Link steadies the unstable shadow. this contact was foreign to Dark Link.
" why aren't you killing me?" he said confused.
Link didn;t even look at him, he was busy fishing for a potion.
"the shaman said it might help." said the girl who he recognized from the spring.
D.L downed the potion a little uncertainly. it was clear and had no flavor. he was led back into the dark medical hut. the villagers relayed the tale to Link. no doubt he;d understand and slay him once he had the facts.
but he never came. and by night fall, Dark Link was violently ill. bastards!!! they poisoned him!!!!!!then a small impish creature came to him. she took one look at him, put a hand on his back and whispered sympathetically, " what have they done to you?". he couldn't answer. she floated up and began to talk to him.
she said her name was midna and that she knew everything about the oppressed shadows. she claimed to bea twili seeking her own freedom. this was a laugh to him. the twili were half-light. treated with both respect, and disdain. graceful creatures they were called. because light has a fascination with it's twili. it half-loves them.
she couldn't stay long, and said she had to go with Link. but she eyed him curiously. " link's shadow...you're...interesting". she then disappeared. probably a sadist, he thought. after all, she probably knew the master sword could only be used after his...destruction. it really isn't fair to call it death, now is it?
i'm off for tonight, i'll post up more later. keep in mind, this was all going to be chapter 4><
