"That I can do." He was good with deception. He could make it work. "But I wish to know one thing before I go. And I want an honest answer, if you will." It really wasn't his place to be demanding anything of her after all she must live through with that hog of a master. "I wonder, why are you so fond of dreams?"
"Of course, anything..." She said without thinking. Even in the few minutes of kindness he'd given her, she was more willing to answer one question for him than she was to answer a thousand for her master.
"Dreams are the only way I get to see anything that isn't enclosed by the city walls. It might seem foolish or even childish to you, but they mean a lot to me... Don't you ever remember your dreams? I can never seem to forget the ones I'm in."
