The Outlet of Unusual Talent
Appendix
A best friend of mine is in the Hospital right now because he has appendicitis. Had would be a better word for it I guess. Thursday evening he was sent into emergency and was in agony.

They cut him open and brought him to his bed, then tried to get him to stand up. He blacked out and went unconcious. They tried another time, same thing happened, except the second time, he was delusional. They had to hold him down and have four nurses practically throw him back into his bed. His pulse was 70/40. For those who don't know what that means, a normal person is 120/70. His pulse rate was deathly low, and he had reactions to the morphine they gave him. It caused his heart rate to slow even more, creating more problems then helping them.

They gave him an oxygen mask while he was unconsious and then Gravol when he woke up for the pain. Friday morning he was pale, he blended in with the white sheets, and when everyone from school showed up Friday afternoon at 4, he had a little more color, but not much. He walked that evening, just to outside his room and back but that was alot for his body.

When I first walked in and saw him there, laying in the hospital bed as pale as I had ever seen him, I was terrifyed. Totally freaked out of my mind. I didn't know what to say, but I knew that if I let my emotions show, his girlfriend would breakdown in front of him and then all hell would break loose. I was her support, and so I had to be strong.

His girlfriend and I went to see him today, he looked alot better today. We both went at about 1 and then she had to leave at 2:30 and I stayed until his family came at 6:30. He was up and walking; and eating too. He was feeling almost like himself again, but he still can't get up or stretch too much otherwise he would pull the stitches, and then have to go to recovery for another week. He was hoping to get the IV tube out of his arm tomight so I'm crossing my fingers for that and for the thought that he might be able to get out tomorrow.

He's bloody sore, and walks like and old person. Very slow, very cautiously, but thats to be expected two days after you had surgery. He's hoping to get back into school by Thursday of next week by the lastest, but that my be pushing it. Although he wasn't supposed to be able to walk until this evening, or eat solid food for a few more days, which he did both of, so maybe everyone is just underestimating him.

I wish him the best of luck and alot of hope.

And if he ever ******** scares us this much again, I'll hurt him bad.
