Prompt
How do you replenish or recharge after an exhausting emotional situation?
That depends on the emotion felt in the situation. An extreme happiness and joy can be delt with in an effective manner that differs from the solution of an extreme sadness. If that made any sense. I'll chart it out.
Recharge for XTREME biggrin =/= Recharge for XTREME sad
As is most often the case, I'll deal with the sadness replenishing first.
I usually think after the situation occurs. Now, I'm not saying that it's replenishing whatsoever. Often it's more draining, moreso because it often leads to remorse and regrets. However, once that phase is out of the way, the last thing I want to do it think at all about the situation. That is remedied with mostly video games and internet, to just get away from it all. Last ditch effort, if those do not cure the ailment of thought, is sleep. Sleep always, always replenishes and relaxes.
With extreme happiness, usually the party that follows whatever causes said happiness is enough to keep me going. The conversation, the livelyhood of the current surroundings, the *often times* festivity. All good and great. Jokes are made, fun is had, conscious thought is lost, and merriment is passed all around.
And that's how I deal with those two extremes.
