So I've taken it upon myself to finally take the quest to go after an epic mount. And by quest, I mean getting the gold to purchase and learn how to ride the mount.

And by mount I mean car. And by gold I mean eight hundred American dollars.

There's this ugly brown car parked in front of my house what seems like every other day. And so my uncle decides to go out and show the whole house's dislike for this abomination when the owner is out to move it. And through a series of arguments, laughs, and joking around, we find out that the guy really doesn't want the car anymore and had the idea to sell the car for about $800.

Suddenly, that car isn't so ugly and is beginning to look less and less like a sin against all cars (car-kind?).

So I'm trying to catch this guy at home now and try to set up a payment plan or something to relieve him of his duties. Never seems like he's home, so it may take a while. Probably long enough for me to get my next paycheck so I can make a decent first payment.

And we've determined that it's in relatively good condition. Granted, the thing is a disgusting brown from all the dirt and dust and what have you that's been caked onto it for probably a few years now. But it looks like it has a CD player, probably working A/C, and it's been quiet whenever it leaves and parks in front of our house. Might need to change the fluids and send it through a car wash about a dozen times, but other than that it doesn't look like it needs too much work. We'll find out should I get the car, I guess.

Looks like a Toyota Camry, probably late 80's to early 90's.


As for my brother, he's recovering just fine. The doctors stood him up for the first time since the accident on Friday, first time in 32 days. It looks like he'll be released close to the initial release date given, which is a week from Wednesday. If that's the case, he'll be home within two weeks. biggrin

So I talked to the guy.

He upped his price from $800 to $1250. :/ Says he put a new radio or something like that in.

What's more, he wants it all in one payment. Which is a lot for me, as I currently only have $300. I was hoping to make payments but we'll see if I can borrow money or something.

IN ADDITION TO THAT, he says he lost the pink slip. neutral Sooo that bad stuff right there. I'm going to call the DMV tomorrow and check out all this pink slip stuff. It might not even be worth trying to buy.
