"Quick child! Get her in here the poison is spreading quick into her body!" Lady Kaede walked over to the bed as InuYasha came in the hut with Kaede in his arms. He layed her on the bed. Kagome came behind InuYasha biting her nails. She was still a little shaken and hurting from the arrow, but was more concerned about her daughter than anything else. InuYasha’s arm was wrapped with a rag. He grabbed the ropes and tied Kaede’s wrists together and her ankles together. Kaede was a frightening sight right now. Her eyes were white with no colour, and she was shaking like she was dying.
"She looks horrible, what do we have to do to help her?" InuYasha looked at Kaede.
"We have to take out each glass piece out of young Kaede’s body, before the poison from the glass pieces spread right through her body so that she could die. And the poison is the deadliest of all, each piece holds a piece of memory or a piece of the future. Each piece will poison her body one by one until her whole body is devoured by darkness. We must work fast." In Kaede’s body there were 10 pieces of glass. "First I must figure out where the first memory piece is. InuYasha looked at his daughter with pitty and sadness. He then shook his head and walked outside. Kagome was about to leave when Lady Kaede stopped her. "Before you go Kagome, I have a question for ye" Kagome spun around to Kaede with a puzzled look on her face. "When was the last time ye said she was caring for InuYasha," Kaede asked Kagome. Kagome thought for a bit then realized it. "You’re right I haven’t been there for him," Kagome then ran outside to find InuYasha.

Kikyo looked into Kaede’s eyes and sighed.
"As you know, I was taken captive by Naraku, and was forced to kill you. But I refused, I couldn’t do it, so when I slept at night he found me and slipped a snake demon in my mouth. It took over my body and made my weak evil feelings come out into full power. It wasn’t my fault though! I really didn’t know what was going on until I woke up and Naraku told me what he had done. I then tried to kill him with my arrow but failed and he made sure that the snake demon killed you and your parents for sure. I then made sure I would try to help you by telling you what really happened and warn you about what is going to happen."
Kaede was still bewildered by what she had said. There was a moment of silence as the wind blew threw their hair. She wasn’t sure what to say. But finally she said something.
"What happens now?" Kikyo smiled weakly then continued on of what she was going to say.
"Each piece holds a dark memory or a dark part of the future for your family or you. Your family is now trying to take out the pieces. You must be warned, though, many other dark figures shall come to kill you. In this world, you must not use strength but more mind."
"Kikyo, I’m sorry." Kaede lowered her head.
"No please, do not mourn or it will make the poison worse. I am fine. I will always be with you in spirit, as your guardian. Please, tell InuYasha I’m still looking out for him." Kaede smiled then hugged Kikyo. Kikyo was caught off guard by this but then finally hugged the young girl back. Kikyo then smiled at her then vanished. The first piece had been taken out.

"Ah here we go," Lady Kaede took out the first piece of glass. Outside, Kagome saw InuYasha sitting beside the door on the ground. He looked like he was in deep thought. Kagome sat down beside him. Kagome peered out into the horizon. The sun was slowly going down. Kagome, still looking out, said, " InuYasha, please tell me the truth, is something wrong?" Kagome turned her head towards InuYasha. He too, looked out into the horizon, not making eye contact with Kagome. InuYasha lowered his head then said weakly, "It’s all my fault, I put my own daughter in danger as well as you Kagome," Kagome put her hand on his shoulder then leaned on him. "It’s not your fault. I know Naraku is up to this. We have to destroy him." InuYasha turned his head to Kagome, "I know what we should do, but I will tell you after. Lets go check on Kaede." The two walked in the hut holding hands. (AWW lol) When they got inside, Lady Kaede held the piece in her hand. InuYasha then stepped in, "So, how do these things work?"
Kaede walked over to InuYasha, "How about I show ye?"
They tied InuYasha’s hands and ankles together just like Kaede so he wouldn’t get restless from the poison. Kaede then explained to him what was going to happen, "I will put this one glass piece in your arm for a bit, then I will take it out. But beware young InuYasha, things aren’t always what they seem. But seeing is believing." Kagome then hugged InuYasha and said be careful. Kaede then pierced the piece into him.

InuYasha looked at his surroundings. He was back where he and Kikyo used to be. He shook his head to make sure he wasn’t dreaming. He then looked forward to see Kikyo coming towards him. "Kikyo…" Kikyo stopped in front of him and smiled. "InuYasha, I have waited so long to do this. And now that I have you here for the last time, I’m not going to waste it. Kikyo put her arms around InuYasha’s neck and kissed him. InuYasha didn’t struggle, he didn’t know why. Then she said goodbye and she disappeared. InuYasha was left speechless. He then saw Kagome come out from behind a tree. She dropped her backpack. He couldn’t believe it, it was exactly like what had happened before. "Kagome wait!" Kagome ran away, but this time InuYasha ran after her. He finally caught up to her and grabbed her by the arm. When she turned around, it was not Kagome anymore it was Kaede. Her eyes were watery and traces of tears were left down her cheeks. InuYasha looked right into her eyes. Kaede’s eyes widened. She hugged InuYasha and turned him around. An arrow was shot and now it hit Kaede because she went in front of it. InuYasha was stunned. "Kaede!" InuYasha screamed. He looked to see who shot the arrow and was shocked. It was Kagome. Her eyes were not the same though, they were red and she looked to be in a trance. Blood then came out of Kagome’s arms and side as she dropped down dead. InuYasha looked up to the sky as tears came to his eyes. He looked straight again, to see Naraku standing there with Kaede and Kagome at his feet dead. InuYasha’s eyes burned red as he said, "I’ll kill you Naraku!" He charged towards Naraku.

"Get the piece out Kagome!" Kaede shouted to Kagome. InuYasha was going nuts, ready to break free of the ropes. He was still in the trance though. Kagome ran over to him and snatched the piece out of his arm. He whipped his arm across to Kagome right before she got the piece out. Kagome was flung across the room and she was banged against the wall. InuYasha was then back to normal but breathing heavily. He looked over to see Kagome being helped up by Lady Kaede. InuYasha ran over to Kagome and helped her up, "Kagome! Are you alright? I’m sorry it’s just Naraku killed you and…" Kagome was shocked to hear this as well as Kaede. "Now ye know part of ye future and can try to stop this." Kaede said to InuYasha. They then went back to helping young Kaede.

Kaede was left alone and didn’t know what to do. She heard something by the creek and turned her head fast. She was then somewhere else. Kaede looked at what was happening. It was her as a baby and her mother and Shippo at her grandma’s house when they used to live there. Kagome sat in the kitchen with Kaede in her arms and Shippo on her lap. Kaede smiled at the sight and bit her lip so that she wouldn’t cry. She was then worried when she saw tears roll down her mother’s cheeks. "Whats wrong Kagome?" Shippo asked Kagome as he wiped her tears with his hand. "It’s nothing I just wish InuYasha was here to see his daughter grow up." Kaede sighed. Kaede turned around to see Naraku stranding over her. "It’s alright Kaede," he put his hand on her shoulder, "Your parents will soon be dead once I’m through with them." He then squeezed her shoulder and made her bleed. She then remembered that Kikyo told her to use her mind more than strength, she smirked then an arrow appeared in her hand she spun around shoved the arrow into his stomach. She slowly walked backwards to see what she had done. She had shoved the arrow into her father. "DAD!" Kaede kneeled down to her father and tears rolled down her cold cheek from her violet eyes.

"She’s…she’s crying," InuYasha said to Kagome and Kaede as he stared at his daughter’s weak face. "Alright, four out, six to go," Kaede announced holding the fourth piece in her hand. "We have to hurry, shes dying." Kagome covered her mouth in shock. They then went back to helping Kaede.

Kaede was then again in a different place. It was dark and gloomy and the air lingered with thick gray smoke. She then turned to see a little girl about the age of fifteen coming towards her. She stopped them smiled widely at Kaede. Kaede smiled back then asked her what she was doing there. "My name is Rin! And I’m waiting for my master, Lord Sesshomoru." Kaede thought the name sounded familiar but didn’t bother to think any more about it because the girl continued on. "He says he is looking for his half demon brother’s child" Kaede froze when she saw a dark figure coming behind Rin. It was a tall figure with silver hair, pointy ears and some sort of sign on his forehead. Rin turned around to see Sesshomoru there. "Lord Sesshomoru! Have you found the hanyou yet?" He walked towards Kaede. He had no expression. Kaede ran into darkness.

"Three more pieces to be taken out," Lady Kaede said. InuYasha’s ears twitched as he heard something outside he walked outside curiously. When he got there he heard something on the roof. InuYasha jumped onto the roof only to see a fox demon. InuYasha was stunned. "Shippo?" Shippo turned around. He looked almost the same except for that he grew a bit. He smiled and yelled down, "I found him!" InuYasha looked down to see Miroku, Sango, and Kirara. InuYasha jumped down and looked at them weirdly. Finally he broke the silence, "What are you guys doing here?" Sango smiled at InuYasha’s expression. Kagome came outside to see what was going on. "InuYasha? Who are you…?" When she saw Shippo she knew the gang was all back.
They all stood around Kaede’s body looking for the last piece. Kagome then asked, "Where could it be? We must hurry before time runs out!" Shippo then pointed to blood that started to run down her neck. "Where is it coming from?" Sango asked. Miroku followed the blood trail to the back of Kagome’s neck. He felt the spot then knew where it was coming from. "There is a piece in the back of her neck but we have to be careful, it’s in there good. I could only feel the point." InuYasha turned to Lady Kaede. "Well don’t just stand there old woman! Get it out!"

Kaede was getting tired of being moved around everywhere. This time she wasn’t sure where she was. She blinked her eyes and got up from lying down. She peered around the room to see if anything or anyone was there. There were Japenese shutters with a pink glow coming from behind it. Kaede picked her green skirt up as she walked to the door. She walked into a dark hallway. She traveled to a room that was completely empty except for a little girl sitting in it. She was all white and Kaede could only see her back, she walked over to her and tapped her on the shoulder. The girl looked up, her face was as pale as snow. She held a mirror in her arms. Kaede looked at the mirror and her eyes widened. She ran out of the room. In the mirror she saw her mother dead. She ran into Naraku. He grabbed her by the throat. Blood ran onto his skin through his fingers as his nails pierced through her neck. Kaede took out her Tetshiega, and slit at his throat. She did a back flip off his shoulders and onto the floor. Just then she started to bleed. She didn’t know why but she was, blood poured to the ground. She was standing in it. She dropped to her knees. Then she just fell down. She opened one eye to see Kikyo sitting beside her. Kikyo smiled weakly then said, "You’re free." Kaede closed her eyes.

As Kaede took the piece out of young Kaede’s neck blood ran down her neck. Sango grabbed a cloth quickly and held it to Kaede’s neck to stop the bleeding. "Kaede?" Kagome called to see if she would awaken. Kaede immediately shot up gasping for air, as if she was being suffocated. Her eyes went back to their usual violet colour. She was very confused and afraid though, because she was tied up and was bleeding. She started to cry when she saw her mother and father. She leaned into her mother and her mother hugged her. Her father took off the ropes and hugged his daughter close. He thought about her being dead and didn’t want to risk her life. He knew he and the rest of the gang needed to go and destroy Naraku, but Kaede would have to stay in modern Japan with her grandmother and great-granfather. He didn’t want to lose her.
Missing You Too
Kagome helped Kaede into the bed and kissed her goodnight. Kaede closed her eyes when she heard InuYasha come in. Miroku followed. When they saw she was "asleep" they walked outside. Kaede had excellent hearing so she lay awake in bed hearing their conversation. When the two got outside, they already saw Lady Kaede, Shippo, Kagome, and Sango sitting outside by the fire. Kirara was inside sleeping with Kaede. Miroku sat down beside Sango and InuYasha sat beside Kagome. Miroku then explained the situation to all of them,
