I stood there, watching them as they vanished into the horizon. Their figures became black silhouettes on the pale afternoon sky until they vanished ultimatly. I wanted to follow, but my heart told me that Jen and Raven needed me more. I stood for another miniute or two, then turned and walked back home.

As i opened the door, I saw Jen nursing a bruise made by the kunai on her head. "Oh, Aruna! Hey, what happened? Where are Kalt, Lok, and Ice?" I looked at her coldly, issuing her to be quiet and turned my attention to Raven. Her wound was still bleeding, but it was slowing. I sighed in relief. They would be okay. Mabey we can leave sooner if she heales faster, I thought to myself. I changed her bandages and looked back at Jen. "Im sorry, but Tsuki is hurt. I was worried. I did not mean to look at you so coldly." I said. She nodded in aggreement and turned back to Raven; her face red and embarrased due to my apology.

I walked into the kitchen and started boiling some water. For some reason, it helped me concentrate and ease my weary spirit. As I sat down at the kitchen table, Jen's voice called "Hey, Aruna! Do you have anything to eat?" I poured noodles into the now boiling pot. "Yeah, Pasta" I said in response. I was getting boerd. Waiting for Raven's wounds to heal...It would take some time. I sat again and stared out the window at a bird fluttering around about a tree. "Sigh...guess ill take a walk." I said out loud. I began walking to the door, when Jen stopped me again. "What do I do if she wakes up?" I thought intently, replying solomly, "She wont".

I opened the door and allowed the bright red-orange of the afternoon sun to pierce my eyes and make me hold my hands up to block it out. "Ill be back later" I said, closing the dorr before Jen could say anything.

The forest was beautiful in the near evening; the leaves reflected the sunlight, making them seem like beautiful growing crystals. I walked through the trees on a path I normally took to get to the village, but I took another turn, my trail merging with another trail used my traveling merchants. No one was on the trail this late in the afternoon, and I walked alone. I wondered more about what would happen to Kalt, Lok and Ice. Three boys traveling alone...I laughed as my mind thought of silly things three boys could do together; all the stupid things they could get into.

I laughed quietly to myself, until my laughing ceased. I heard footsteps, not far away. They were deep footsteps, as if someone was trudging throught the weeds. I quickened my pace, and realized my follower increased theirs. I broke into a run and after a few miniutes I realized my persurer had stopped. I stopped to catch my breath, when something rustled abouve in the trees. Drance Heldnore decended from the tree above. "So foolish. You have befriended the embassary of the wolves, my dear. The moment you met him, you were destined to meet me." He landed on the ground and withdrew his kunai again, pointing the tip at my heart.

I yurned and ran as fast as I could, not knowing what he was going to do to me. I ran and ran until the sky turned dark and my vision was impared. Without knowing where I was going, I ran into a familiar clearing. My house! The fire was going, meaning Jen was still inside. I yelled "JEN!!! GET READY TO LOCK THE DOOR!!!" I ran inside not to see Jen, but Raven proding the fire logs with a hot poker. "Wheres Jen?" I asked. " Im not sure, but I think she said something about going with Kalt?" My mind raced, "WHAT? SHE LEFT?" "Oh, how lucky for me." Drance said walking into the house. "Forgive me, ladies, but I believe you two are coming with me." "oh yeah?" I said "Whos going to make us?" "Why, me of course." He pointed his kunai at me and I felt a surge of energy pass through me. The energy pulsated then drained all the stregnth I had. I collapsed on the floor, passed out.

A man watched outside the house as the event took place. He looked and observed as both Aruna and Raven were dragged back into the forest. He spoke few words and vanished again into his red portal, "Kalt needs to be advised. Evil is growing".
