While Kalt was getting up and healing his still bleeding wounds, I ventured outside and looked around the ended battle. The area was damp with the smell of flesh and blood. Many slaughtered corpses lay bloodied on the soft earth, all kinds of insects charging at them ready for a quick feast. Hino walked outside behind me and looked at them; she held her hadn to her mouth in disgust. "That...smells terrible..." she sighed out in a sickened tone. "Hino, why dont you burn the bodies?" I said, wondering if she could. "Good idea, Ice." she said smiling. As she walked to the center of the carnage, I stepped back out of fear, hoping not to be burned in her hellfire.

It was strange watching Hino, I felt a sudden liking for her. That liking grew stroung and strounger, until after she was done removing the remaining bodies, I walked up and hugged her...and she hugged me back. If we both liked each other, our journey was sure to bring us closer and closer together. We walked together back into Aruna's house to see how Kalt was doing.

I stepped out of bed and streched what wasnt bandaged. The blood, now slowly stopping, was still secreting from the shot gun wound on my chest. I looked on the table next to the bed to find the remains of the fragments from the shell. Hino and Ice walked in and Hino walked into the room looking at the wound on my chest. "Your very lucky you know." She said with a smile, "Another ounce of blood and I didnt think you'd make it!" Aruna walked in and hugged me, then hugged Hino for all the help she did. As she left, I saw her lick her lips free of the blood she got when hugging my chest. Vampires...I sighed as I thought to myself.

I got up and walked into the other room and saw that the sun was only just rising and saw that Jenny and two others were still asleep. One I had never seen before, but there was another...One who had a familiar scent...It was Lok! He'd came back...but something was wrong, he wasnt normal...He was in his human form. I walked over and nudged him on the shoulder, the thing we'd normally do to get each others attention. "Hey, Lok." I said as he opened his eyes, "Welcome-" I was cut short by a heavy fist colliding with the underside of my chin making me bite my tounge hard. I staggared backward clenching my mouth shut to prevent any more blood from seeping out. "WHAT WAS THAT FOR YOU MORON?" I asked through now redning teeth. "Your the moron." He said getting up and streching." I leave you for 2 days and you get yourself half killed! What would you do without me?" he said. He ran up to me and put me in a headlock; a headlock that was VERY hard to break out of.

After we all got up, Aruna introduced me to the other person that was asleep. Her name was Raven and she was Arunas cousin. We had the breakfast that Aruna cooked for us and Stayed at her place until midday. As I saw Ice and Lok sharpening there swords, I had a faint memory of a bright blue sword that i had once weilded. I reached behind my back and felt for the hilt, but alas, All I felt was my back. I put my hand down and walked around Aruna's property. It was a small house, not bigger than a small cottage, but it would be a cozy setting for one or two people. As I walked around, I noticed something unusual. A single crow sitting on one of the top branches of one of the forest's ancient trees. It stared down at me with gleaming, deep red eyes. I wanted to investigate, but the growling in my stomach and the delicous smells coming from the inside suggested that lunch was ready and we all went in to eat.

We had decided over lunch that we should put the now abandoned village to good use and slavage what we can of weapons and supplies. After about twenty miniutes, we set out through the forest and began walking torward the village. As we walked, I noticed a fimilar crow sitting not to far away from our trail staring down at us again. My instincts told me that whatever it was, it was something that wasnt supposed to be here. We kept walking through the forest until we had hit the towns brick lain roads.

The place was as silent, not a single soul around. We walked through the town square and into the inn, checking for any signs of survivors. As soon as we walked in, the smell of blood penetrated the air like a rock through water. Something was fresh dead in the building right now. I bolted up the stairs to find all the guests stabbed, beheadded or amputated in some way. The bodies were of theives who were carrying items that had been scattered around the inn during our last visit. They were not even rotting, but were still bleeding on the floor. Hino came upstairs and vomited over my shoes. I turned and gave her an evil glare. "Thanks Hino." I said, she rushed down the stairs and outside, a worried Ice following her footsteps.

I returned my attention to the bodies. The blood was not dry or ceaseing to flow. They were almost still pulsing...but how could they be killed so fast without us noticing. I reached to turn over a body, and saw the face of the man. It was inscribed with a gaze of utter terror and freight. I wanted to look further, but suddenly, a blood curdling scream. I rused outside to see a steady stream of blood falling from the sky, and saw Hino in the arms of a vampire with a Kuni's blade through her chest. The blood was draining from her body over the twon square. She was screaming in utter terror, and Ice stood beneath the scene, a helpless man unable to help the one he loves.

"HINO!" he cried as the vampire let go and Hino Fell to the ground, her eyes half open, no longer holding the spark of life that they one did. Ice ran over to her and cradled her head in his arms crying. Hino was dead, and the vampire held her staff in his blood-stained arms. "So...this is what destroyed this village, then?" He pointed the staff down to Hino's body and sent a massive firlball hurdling through the air at both Hino and Ice. I ran to move ice out of the way and watched as the fireball incenerated Hinos body and the ashes blew away. Ice lay rigid on the brick street, tears streaming from his face. He stood up, his head hung aginst his chest. " Im going to kill you you ******** b*****d!" He screamed drawing his sword and looking sharply at the hovering vampire. The pain of losing someone was truely great, but I didnt think Ice could take him. The vampire Lowered himself to the ground and held out his hand.

" My name is Drance. Drance Heldnore. I've come for your sowrd so hand it over, Lycan!" he said staring at me. His hair was a snow white, tied up in a loose ponytail. He wore a black trenchcoat, with white gloves, loose leather pants and black cargo boots. He drew a chain and attahced it to his kunai, swingin it around like the blade on a fan. He held the Kunai and looked at me with a crazed look in his eyes. "I know you have the sword. As a crow, I saw you kill my brother with it. I saw you murder him, now, your going to have to pay with the sword, or your life!" I didnt want anyone else to get hurt, so I felt for the sword on my back. Suddenly, my eyesight went black again as more words and a voice came before me. No! Dont give it to him! It read. I unseathed the sword and got strange looks from everyone as they stared in awe an in curisoity. I held my fighting stance and yelled back at him, "Come on, come and get me!"

"AS YOU WISH!" His fangs grew large and his eyes read, as he chrged at me with unparalleled speed. the kunai charged forward, but I guraded with the sword and tried to parry, but he ducked and dodged it. before I could get another attack in, a freezing cold arrow lodged iself in my back. I shouted in pain as Raven shouted from the roof of the inn, "Sorry!". I lodged the arrow out and guarded another stab by Drance. Lok and Ice were attacking too, but somehow he was able to gurad all three of us at once. Suddenly, he jumped in the air and floated there, wll out of the reach of any of us and said, " Fine, If you so wish!" He then jumped behind us, on top of the roof, where Raven was stationed. She tried to defend, but the Kunai pierced through her right arm.

She screamed and fell off the roof, only barely missing the stone and landing on soft earth. Jenny tried rushing to her, but Drance hit her face with the Kunai and she fell over unconsious. "Leave them alone!" I yelled rushing at him, but before I could reach him, He looked up at me and tried attacking again, but I guarded again and countered, cutting a wedge out of his right shoulder. he scremed in pain and jumped in the air, looking down on us whle holding his arm. A smerked and whispered in a voice that only Lok and I could hear, " Until we meet again, embassary of the wolves." he then vanished without a trace. there was no time to think who or where he was. We rushed over to Jenny and Raven's side. They were still breathing but they were bleeding heavilly. Vampires and their blood based weapons... When the other brothers nails had hit me, the blood that came out of me was unberable. Apparently, vampires could drain blood out of people through their weapons.

Lok, Ice, Aruna and I grabbed the girls and raced once again back to Aruna's cabin and rushed the girls inside. We layed then on the couch and on the bed I was in and Aruna began to try to heal their wounds. jenny might be okay, but Raven...Aruna couldent tell. Lok, Ice and I looked at each other. we all had the same idea. Who ever this Drance Heldnore was, he needed to pay for the damage he'd done to my friends. Lok, Ice and I walked out of the cabin and began walking in the opposite direction of the town, the way Aruna told us were more cities and people. before we got too far, Aruna Rushed out of her huse and after us. "Where are you going?" She asked in a hurried tone. I turned to her. " Were leaving. Were going to find Drance and Make him pay for the damage hes done to us. Were going to kill him and make him suffer..." This voice was not my own. It was cold and harsh lke a schoolteachers. She looked down at the ground and contemplated my response, thinking rather to protest or to allow...we stood there in an ackward silence broken only by two words, "be careful." she said. " meet up with us someday." I told her. She rushed away back to ther cottage to care for the girls uitl they had completely recovered. We turned around and walked away until the little cottage was no longer in sight.

Unknown to Kalt, A figure was sitting in the trees observing them from afar. he muttered a few words and then vanished into what looked like a red wormhole, but the words he muttered still clung to the air, "And so doth the embassary of the wolves set out to defeat the evil of the world."
