Adventure #2: The Best Gift Ever!
Tara Storm woke up on the day of her birthday, very excited. She wondered what her two best animal friends, Kali and Gwee had gotten for her birthday. Not that it really mattered. She was just glad to always have them around.
Tara saw them sleeping at the edge of her bed. She smiled and said "WAKE UP KALI AND GWEE!"
Kali yawned and said "Sorry Tara, we don't want to go flying this morning....we are too tired." She closed her eyes and went back to sleep.
Tara looked at them and almost cried. "But...." she sighed. "Oh well...I'll see you two after work." Tara thought that Kali and Gwee would've remembered her birthday after making such a big deal of it earlier that month. She got dressed and headed to her store. As soon as the door was shut, Kali woke up Gwee and they both got up and headed out.
Tara worked all day sadly. Not only did Kali and Gwee not acknowledge her birthday, but neither did any of her friends. Not even her two best friends, Cuter and Kitty, even came by her store or gave her a call. Tara was starting to think that no one would remember her birthday.
Tara went home and opened the door, and when she did,
she saw an amazing sight. All her friends were there, shouting "SURPRISE!" And there was signs and streamers and balloons and lots of presents.
"OMG! heart " Tara said. She was overwhelmed with it all.
Cuter and Kitty came over and gave Tara a big hug. "Kali and Gwee set this all up for you Tara." Cuter said.
"Yeah, they really care about you" Kitty said.
Tara went over to Kali and Gwee and gave them a big hug. "This is the best gift you could've ever given me! All my friends are here!"
They both giggled and hugged Tara back.
Tara happily ate cake and opened presents. She saw Kali and Gwee talking with Cuter and Kitty, which made her happy that her two best animal friends were getting along so well with her two best human friends. Eventually everyone went home, and Tara was so happy with how well her party had gone.
As she was cleaning up, Tara spotted an enevolpe on the ground adressed to her.
"Kali, Gwee? What's this?" Tara asked the two, who were pulling streamers off the wall.
"I don't know!" Gwee said, a mishevious glint in her eye. "Why don't you open it?"
Tara opened the card, and saw what was inside.
"Oh...wow..." Tara whipped tears out of her eyes. "Did you two draw this for me?"
"Yup!" Kali said, hugging Tara. "I drew it, and Gwee colored it in!"
"Wow...thank you so much! I'm hanging this up in my store!!" Tara smiled brightly. "You two have given me the best gift ever!"
"What?" Gwee seemed confused.
"Your love for me means more than any gift ever could!" Tara held the two of them in her arms. Indeed, Kali and Gwee were the best thing that ever happened in her life.
