Adventure #1: What's Worth More?
Kali and Gwee were enjoying a nice fly over the pond with some ducks early one morning, when suddenly Kali paused. Gwee flew over to her and said "What's up Kali?"
"You know what's happening in a few days?" Kali whispered.
"What?" Gwee seemed bewildered at Kali's behavior. "Gambino will die again?"
"NO!" rolleyes Kali said. "IT'S TARA'S 20th BIRTHDAY!"
"NO WAY! I didn't know!" Gwee paused for a moment "...What will we get her?"
They both thought for a moment. Then it came to them.
"A HALO!" They shouted.
"But how?" Gwee muttered. "Those are like a bazillion gold. We could never afford that."
"Oh, I heard a rumor the other day! There is a halo hidden in the Durem caves!" Kali seemed excited. "We can go there later while Tara is at work, and get it for her!"
"KALI! GWEE!" Tara shouted. "Time to go home! I have to go to work now."
"OK!" they shouted flying down to her.
They went home, and Tara got ready for her job. She had a little store in the marketplace, and it did well enough for all three of them to have pretty much anything they wanted. Tara left, hugging both Kali and Gwee as she went.
"Alright," Kali said, putting the finishing touches on a note she had written as soon as Tara left, and pinning it on the wall.
"Alright! Let's go!" Kali said, and flew off.
A few seconds later, Tara came home, saying "Kali! Gwee! I decided to take today off! We can go back out and fly again!" Then she saw the note. "OH NO!" Tara said, running off.
Kali and Gwee were standing at the front of the cave. They started going in, when they heard a familar voice.
"What was that?" Kali said.
"WHERE ARE YOU KALI AND GWEE!" said the sad voice again.
"That's Tara!" Gwee said, flying back. Kali followed her. They both flew directly at Tara. She gave them both a hug.
"Kali! Gwee! What were you thinking? That cave could be dangerous!" Tara sobbed.
"We...we were looking for something..." Kali said, sadly because she realized how much she upset Tara.
"What could be so important? You are more important to me than anything else!" Tara hugged Kali and Gwee tighter.
"A halo...for your birthday..."Gwee said.
"Oh Gwee, you two are much better than any halo!" Tara said.
The three of them went home. That night while Tara was sleeping Kali whispered "We still have to get her a gift!"
Gwee whispered back "I think I have an idea..."
