"Lok's gone!" Ice told me. My first reaction was to find Lok, but then I realized, Lok would have to come back. Besides, Jenny was injured, and we couldent leave until she was healed. I gave Ice enough to pay the inn keeper so we could stay a few days. The Innkeeper whispered something to Ice which he told me. " He says we can stay, but she cant." , he said pointing to Aruna. "He doesnt take her kind here". Damn, I thought. "Aruna, Im sorry, but you need to leave." I said taking a glance at the innkeeper. Then, I heard something that I hadent heard for so long, The cocking and loading of a shotgun.

Guns had been inoperational in the icy lands because of the constant cold. The shoutgun was long and had a wide barrel, probably capable of removing alot from your chest once fired. "Please, Aruna." I said, "I dont want someone else to die on me." "Fine, " She said in an irritated tone, "You know where I live, come visit me later". She turned on her heel and walked out the door, having everyone in the Inn's eyes on her. Hino walked up to me and whispered "Who was she?" "A vampire, and a nice one too. She was kind enough to aide my wounds after...wait, wheres Aiyu?" " Oh, Kalt...She went back to find you a long time ago. I dont know where she went..." "What?" i yelled "Things are dangerous in that forest...thats where the vampires hunt for the bodies that fall over the cliff! I need to save her!" I ran out of the inn and out of the town, and into the dense forest. I ran deep into it before I met one, my first vampire.

"Well, well, well, what have we here? A lycan I see." "Hmph, get outta my sight!" I yelled back. "Ooo...testy, well we can fix that!" His nails suddenly grew quite long. he cut the tree next to him in half, showing me that they were sharp. "Now...DIE!" he said, yelling and charging me. I reached for my sword...only to discover it wasnt there! "What the-" I hadent time to think before one of his nails entered my shoulderblade and pierced through my back. I screamed out in pain as he lifted my up, having my blood drip down his nail and into his disgusting mouth. "Oh...you have incredibly tasty blood. It would be a shame not to spill it all!" he yelled as another nail entered my shin, causing me again to shout in extreme pain. "God damn you!" I yelled.

Suddenly, a white cat came out from behind a tree, and jumped on the vampires face, scrathing it raw. "Stupid cat!" he yelled, taking his other hands and piercing the cat throuogh the stomach with another nail. Suddenly, the the white cat with drew her form and became the Aiyu I once knew. She screamed, coughing up blood. "AIYU!" I called out. She lay on the ground, holding her chest where the 1 inch wide wound was bleeding heavilly out of her outfit. I tried to keep watching her, but I couldent move. My body was still hung in mid air, with my blood seeping out of my still. My vision was fogging and I was getting tired. I needed my sword...needed it...need.

Suddenly, I felt a power explode within me. I felt weight on my back, but nothing was there. The weight, aalmost felt like...a hilt? I felt around on my back, and touched something that was extremly cold. As I touched it, words seemed to pass over my eyes. 'He who knows neither darkness nor light, let this sword ignite the path of fire and ice' I attempted to draw it, and was rewarded with something that in my wildest dreams i never would have seen. The sword was long, about 5 feet in legnth. It was light and easy to use. The sword was glass like, but a milky blue.It had a strange desing with a kind of blue sun with a blade extending through the top. It had a strange incription that I could barely make out, but it read" Wolf nor human, let this be your key"

I held the sword to the light and brought it down on the fingernails, hoping to cut them somehow. Strangly, it cut the nails like they were nothing! The vampire cowered back, clutching his hand in pain. The sword seemed to glow as I held it up to him. "If your going to kill me-" His words were cut short as I seperated his head from his shoulders and his body fell limply to the ground. I ran to Aiyu's side as she still was holding her chest. "Kalt, im sorry-" "Dont say that! Dont you dare die on me, Aiyu!" "You...your okay...as long as nothing happened to you...Kalt...forgive me..." She fainted, but was still alive.

I threw her over my shoulder and ran back for town, the cold sword suddenly vanishing from my grip. I ran as fast as I could until I hit the town and was greeted by stares and grasps. Suddenly, a man came out of a house with a pistol armed at his side. " Lycan! Leave this place at once!" I could smell the old fashioned gunpoweder in his weapon and kept going, not fearing anything from such a minor weapon. "Im warning you, get out!" He yelled at me again. "Shut up! this girl needs a-" Suddenly, the pistol went into action and two shots colloded with my kneeblade and chest. Suddenly, I couldent breath. I felt blood spill out of my wound, but i couldent stop. I ran past the man and into the inn, revealing Aiyu to Ice and Hino.

"Aiyu! Kalt!" they both yelled at once. the ran to me, as Aiyu began to feel heavier and heavier. I was kneeling on the floor as Ice and Hino began to run towards us. Hino came to me and began to try to heal me, but I pushed her away and said "Please, take care of her." I realized that the pressure from Aiyu's body was making my body bleed more. "Please take her!" I cread out. They grabbed her off of me, which didnt lighten the load too much. I tried standing, Which was rewarded with a sharp pain in my chest. The Innkeepers shotgun shell collided with my chest, making me fly about 7 feet backwards, out of the front door of the Inn into the front street. As I lay there, the man with the pistol walked over me. "Well, I warned you." He said. He aimed his pistol for my chest and fired. Another red hot shot spread across my chest as I began to relize, I was going to die. Ice had already turned the Innkepper and almost everyone in the Inn to ice statues, and Hino was busy delivering spells to anyone who crossed their paths. I looked up with a bit of my stregnth, and saw Aiyu looking up at me on the bed of the inn. Her eyes were wide and she was crying.

I lifted my hand to my hair to clear it from my face, and felt the thick layer of blood spread over it. "Why dont you die!?" The man above me yelled. As he was about to fire another shot, he was suddenly engulfed in flames, as Hino had casted her fire magic on him. His body was egnited so fast, his flesh began to boil and he was ashes within 3 miniutes. Hino yelled to ice and Aiyu, "Everyone! Come here, Im trying something new!" She came to my side, and so did Ice and Aiyu. Aiyu and Ice knelt down next to me. Aiyu was crying uncontroably now and Ice was observing my wounds. Hino stood over us and began to resonate red light. "Flames of destruction, come unto me!" she cried out. A circle of fire inveloped us like a dome. Suddenly, it grew to amazing legnths as a baloon being blown up. As it grew, the citizens or buildings that were caught in it were all burned to ashes instantly. It grew to about 150 feet in diameter, then vanished, leaving assorted piles of ashes and the smell of burning flesh. The surviving itizens were now fleeing in the opposite direction of the forest and as far away from us as they could. the smell of my blood and of the burning blood around me sickened me to vomit. That, and almost half of my blood was leaking out in a steady pool around me.

"Hino, grab his legs!" Ice said. They picked me up and ran deep into the forest, with Aiyu running cloesly behind. I was able to see that Aiya was not hurt and her wound was almost healed. We found Aurna's house far deep in the forest and, luckily, Aruna was sitting outside when Ice and Hino came along carring my bleeding carcas. "My god! What hap-" "Theres no time, Aruna. Kalt will die if you dont help him now! Besides, his blood will lead a trail through the forest. People will be here soon, and we need to defend this house!"

They lead me inside and Aruna put bandages almost everywhere over me. The blood was seeping through them, but I could not do anything. I tried to put bandages on it, but had no stregnth, and collapsed unconscious onto the same bed that Aruna had put me on before.
