[List of Quickness] My 5 favorite anime
Well, I'm back after a long period of not being here. Didn't expect it, which explains the lack of warning. As such, I don't really feel like reviewing anything and will do the first list of this journal thing. It may be awesome.

The Top 5:

5: Azumanga Daioh
If you're able to get past the high pitched voices, this can quickly become in the top 5. It's quirky off the wall humor has touched my heart, and has hurt my diaphragm on occasion. You know, because of the laughing.

4: Love Hina
Ah, the unforgettable story of Boy Meets Girl, Boy accidentally sees Girl naked in Hot Springs, Girl punches the hell out of Boy, repeat. The love story that unfolds in all of this is quite entertaining, and the quirkiness of all the characters really makes them endearing. Also, the sheer awesomeness of the flying turtles helps a lot with the fact that this is number 4.

3: Happy Lesson
A Harem Anime, only this time, all the females are only in love with our lead male because they're his adoptive mothers. Also, they're his teachers. The main character is the only actual straight man among the bunch, and is the only one who seems to notice that some of his mothers are weird. Also, there need to be more Chemistry teachers like that in this show. You'd know it if you saw it.

2: Yakitake Japan
A comedy about a boy with the uncanny ability to make bread, Yakitake Japan is very funny. A lot of its humor comes from the Japanese cultures and is filled with puns, so some of the humor is hard to get if you don't have cultural notes on hand. However, the reactions several characters give after having eaten some delicious bread is hysterical. I'm a large fan of the reaction after one of the characters eats some french bread. Hehe, crossdressing.

1: Negima/Mahou Sensei Negima
Works of Ken Akamatsu have appeared twice on a list of five...not bad. Negima is great though. It's about a ten year old Apprentice Wizard who teaches English at an All-Girl's Japanese Private Middle School. I have no idea what more to say about it. It's one of my favorite manga of all time, and is the only manga I must get the moment I see it on store shelves.

I forgot to mention that my anime club is actually playing "Midori no Hibi". Ahh...and here I thought I'd never get to see it. crying Thanks for the heads up. heart

I've only seen 4 in entirely, and some of 5. Blasphemous, I know. xp

Anyway, here's hoping that the anime club can run those shows as well. whee

happy lesson?

ick. i sat through two episodes, then elected to spend that time of anime club sitting out in the hall for the rest of the semester.
it was just too much for me. each one of his mothers is a flat, fetish cliche and the writing just wasn't good enough for me to get over that. other people are allowed to like it, i suppose, but meh.

haevn't encountered number two, but i'll agree with the rest of your stuff. ^^ ( though i think all of them have an over-abundance of fan service. i just kind of skipped over it in the ken akamatsu stuff)

It's mostly the Chemistry Teacher that did it for me. In fact, I hated most of the Happy Lesson characters. Replace #3 with "That One Chemistry Teacher from Happy Lesson" and it's much more accurate.
