TABThe Silence. It was a sound of its own. Crashing over her senses like a crest of water, she stumbled over it again and again. Then came Darkness. It always followed, leaving her blind in a sea of black. It wasn't the lack of light that frightened her, no, she was used to that, but the lack of Hope. It made the dark seem all that much more frightening to one that was living.
TABLost within her mind she cried out to anyone nearby, knowing it was futile to escape her prison, yet trying repeatedly with the same results. Nothing. Screaming again and again only to have the chorus of silence return her pleas, she slumped in defeat.
TABDarkness, a being of its own, breathed in the sweet smell of a victory nearby. Taking advantage of her weakness, it closed in around her, cutting off all that she needed to survive. Drowning in the dark she gasped for air, for Hope, for light. Her hand reaching out to the ever dimming beam of light she knew she couldn't reach without help.
TABFalling short of security she slipped on the precipice she was upon. Loosing her balance on the edge she slid, heading toward the ever dark abyss. Only one thought raced through her mind as she fell towards the constant darkness that threatened to consume her soul;
