There are kids who know everybody
And there are kids like me
who know no one
who could walk into class completely naked
and no one would so much as blink
The girl who almost goes to pieces for not understanding her work
and everyone else is working in groups
and getting it
The girl who could in fact break
into her thousand icy shards
but that cold,
that sharpness,
would never peirce their minds
should her very wordds be printed on paper
and placed before their eyes
no one would ever know
because no one notices
