not half a year ago, i felt my heart awaken again
i could tell because i was writing
i was also crying, hoping, really loving
but i knew it had awaken
now, three relationships after that time
my heart begins to drift asleep
i want to say that i love
and i do, but not the way i should
my writing isn't as well anymore,
i can feel my heart drifting to sleep again
such a short time of being awake
and reasons to stay awake
i cannot love
