I'm always hearing why i shouldn't: No, no, no!
And yet i want to hear why I should; Yes, yes, yes!
So tell me that you want me still,
and why I should reconsider
and maybe you'll hear a yes
that isn't quite so bitter.
A year will go by before we are together
but that can only be if you've gotten better.
Better at proving you love me oh so very much
with every word and action, not just gentle touch.
Can you prove yourself, your love
to whom it matters most?
For if you want to get to me,
through my Father you must go.
