if you could open your eyes
i know that you still would not rise
if i said the words to bring you back
it would start another heart attack
you traded all the truth for lies
to escape your attempts and tries
what seems real is what hurts most
the make-believe made you the ghost
you walk among the pieces of reality
hardly seeing what is real, not even seeing me
the mist conceals the facts and obscures your sight
filling in with darkness, erasing all the light
know not more than you need at a time
act as though it's all fine
take a hit on your blind side

a thing
