Hello Pretty Lady; Let Sunshine c** Your Way
- Fuck me this, ******** me that…look who was having a little chat in The Flat. For some odd reason, Lucas found small pleasures in the rhymes he made up . Always found them entertaining. Right now however, the true source of entertainment that caught his attention was Vince. Lucas was never sure if the guy was going or coming. Was never sure if he should offer the man some of the ‘sunshine’ he had in his pocket or if he should buy some from him. Vince was either doing or selling and you could never really tell from his mood. Not, that Lucas cared much for his mood. But, being someone that sits back and watches more than others; he picked up on these things. It was like picking a fight. You had to at least know the possibility of you winning; so you watched and observed. That was what he did with the people around him. He watched, observed and decided who he wanted to get in the ring with, so to speak. But, with Vince....he could never really tell. That wasn't what interested him however.
What it was about this moment with Vince that surprised him most was the missing person. He wasn’t a fan of the man, Vince, but the person MIA he knew well. As far as he recalled, he and Vince had only spoken brief sentences to each other. Lucas wasn’t a fan of male companionship. The fact that his best friend was a woman should have been an indication. But, then again not many people knew just how close he was to Ella. Who had yet to extract herself from the arms of the young flirt. Why did he have the sudden urge to pull her over his lap and give her a good spanking? She knew better than to have guys over her. Hadn’t they had conversations about the signals women give? OR, was that it? Was she sending off signals? She damn well better not be. He wasn’t ready for her to…hell she might already be. Well he wasn’t ready to think of her that way so she wasn’t as far as he was concerned.
The frown was instantaneous. It was funny the way frowns never seemed to last, not in a place like Flats. And his frown went away because walking by the bar was none other than the little blonde. What she did was definitely going to get her into TROUBLE.She locked eyes with him, stared at him. But, then turned away. Not that it would matter. The look she gave him was an invitation, a slight glimpse of interest. And, he knew them well to deduct them even from a far. The little blonde in the red dress had coming looking for trouble, she came looking and there he was- and well he was in the mood to accommodate her. The stage was being set but Lucas wouldn’t move, not yet. The thrill and anticipation was as enjoyable as the chase itself. He wanted the tension to build. His eyes continued to follow her as she leaned against the bar. Lucas watched her with growing interest. And, that was really all it took with him. A look of interest and he was more than willing to pursue. Usually after the look was when things fell apart. Still you had to get the look first and it was always that one glance that spun him into action.

He had been on target coming out here tonight. Grinning, he tossed one had behind his head. It made contact with the cold wall behind him but that didn’t matter. His mind had moved onto more interesting things. He had already begun planning. The next arm settled in the middle of his chest. He rubbed his nicely toned body under the shirt he was wearing. Gym time it was paying off. The change in his body was becoming more and more noticeable. Someone suggested he should drink protein shakes put on more weight and then build more muscle. Lucas hadn’t bought into their scamming. He was sure they would have the right product just for his body type. The promises they were sure to make, he was sure he already heard. No need to hear bullshit more than once, not when you got it from every commercial on the television and the internet.
Lucas was ready to order his first beer of the night. Then he would begin the pursuit of the lady in red. She marked herself well. He wondered if she planned just what she was going to wear. Did she want to paint herself as a target? More than likely she had. The color of the dress was too bold. Her face too beautiful not to be noticed and the way she pouted her lips and the sway of her hips in heels, he was sure she chose for just that reason; it was all to calculated to be a matter of chance. And, while Lucas was one to believe in chance and fate, this was not a matter of their dealing. Oh no, this was all her doing. The cute little blonde at the bar.
A waitress whose face was too familiar for him to care about came to get his order, “ the usual.” What was that? Did The Flathead suddenly go silent for that brief moment? Lucas spoke. It was the first for the night and it would not be the last. But, the first words were always the ones that left the lasting impressions. His first words left an impression alright. He was too comfortable in this place. When you could walk in and tell any waiter you wanted your usual. It was time for you to find a new location. Pity, Flathead was so damn comfortable. It was highly unlikely Lucas was going anywhere. As the waitress turned away from his table, Lucas looked up and saw her walk in. His eyes quickly went in search of her prey. Oh dear….trouble was brewing, stewing and looking divine.
Dagger always did. Look divine. He noticed she hadn’t lost any of her ‘presence’. People still stopped to watch her walk into a room. He guessed it was good in her line of business. Lucas found himself stroking his chin as he watched Dagger make her way over to Vince an his new companion. Was that really Dagger? She seemed so …unsure of herself. Normally, she was the type that could would insert her body between her man and any possible threat. Now she was mellowed. Wrapping her arms around Vince from behind, not even showing her face. With a face like her own, any woman would back off. Some people just didn’t compete with beauty, no matter how shallow it might be. Watching he could only shake his head. My how the mighty have fallen.
Lucas continued to watch the progress of the scene unfolding before him. Vince’s female pal seemed to be walking away. There was a smile on her lips; more friendly than vindictive. That was a shame. He would have enjoyed a bit of excitement. A tumble. Would the women really fight for Vince? The thought did cause laughter to escape his lips. The sound was rough, coarse and seemed to surprise even his lips, as the sound echoed and then bounced off of them. Oh, what a night …..what a night. And, it’s only just begun.
