Chapter 1

"Don't lie to me Dad!" I said with anger. "Where is he?" Tears
from my eyes tell the story of me. I'm a fifth-teen year old girl.
Half cat. So is my boyfriend, Max, but he is half wolf. He's
fifth-teen year-old boy who is missing. Which my Dad knows
where he is, but he won't tell me. They won't tell me because
since Max is half wolf, they want to test his strength, and a hole
lot of crap, but of course, he doesn't like it. They will do anything
to keep him, and even kill me. I forgot, my name is Rachel.
My Dad pretends to love me, but I can tell he wants me dead.
He is the leader of a organization that has Max captive, they call
The Snapshots.(Stupid name, right?) Rumor says, that
every time they kill someone that disobeys, they'll have a ceremony
to burn all their pictures so they won't remember them.
(Weird huh?) My Dad is not listening, and is being stupid,
so I ran to my room and locked myself in.
When I went to my room on my bed, I took a little nap.
I was dreaming about Max, and how we met. I still remember
when I met him like it was yesterday. We were twelve.
*I was brought to the whitest room you could ever think
of at my Dad's organization. He told me we were going
shopping. Another one of his lies. As I was looking around,
I heard a slid door opened, and heard a loud thump behind
me. When I turned around, there was a boy faced down
on the floor. He looked like a black wolf. He turned to his
back, his eye color was yellow, he also had blood marks
everywhere on his face. As he cough, I helped him up,
and brought him to the snow colored bed. When I flipped
his long, black bangs to the side of his head, he said,"You'll
never catch me alive!" The the sliding door opened, and
the soldiers started to throw rocks at us. Max threw his hands
around me....to protect me. His back was facing to the
direction of where the rocks was coming from. I was surprised
that someone would do that for me. Once Max fell on the floor
ground, they stopped throwing rocks. I was shocked, but his
eyes opened and he winked at me and he closed his eyes.
The soldiers closed the door, and closed the shades. Max
got up and shivered his fur. He got up and said nicely,"Hey,
what's your name? Mine is Max." I was kinda happy because
no one talks to me because I have cat ears. "Hi, mine is
Rachel." We talked for a while. We both had many things in
common, like no one talked to him because he had wolf
ears."So Rach, you want to get out of here?" Max asked.
I nodded my head. So he went under the bed, and started
to dig on the white floor. While he was doing that, I put pillows
under the blanket to look like Max was sleeping. Just in case
they checked on us. Twenty minutes past and he was done
with the secret exit under the bed. Then we took off.*
I heard knocking on my door as I woke up from my slumber.
It was my mom, half cat as well.
