This is my second repetition post. Today's subject: homophobia.
I will wait until I know someone is truly trustworthy before I tell them about my bisexuality. Even after I wait, I won't bother telling a Catholic, as many are directly opposed to homosexuality in any form and will either abhorr me or try to "help" me. The few exceptions I meet are close friends indeed, such as Acacia (not on Gaia). However, most of my non-Catholic friends don't give a scrit who I love. Many more think I'm posing for attention. Hey, if I wanted attention, I'd get on TV, which I am capable of doing.
But the point is--homophobia.
I have yet to hear a valid reason at the basis of this rapidly spreading plague of discrimination. Allow me to cut down every reason I've been given against homosexuality and same-sex marriage.
arrow "It's not natural." Well, neither are computers, lightbulbs, or plastics. If you want to go back to being a caveman (or woman), that's fine with me. However, even back then there was probably homosexuality, though there were few who actually acted on it. Homosexuality is due to a variety of genes and traits that activate when exposed to a certain balance of chemicals in the brain that cause some people to respond to pheromones from their own gender. Tell me that's not natural.
arrow "It's sick and wrong." It's love. Love isn't sick and wrong. "So? ***** is 'love'." A child is not legally old enough to give consent. An 18-year-old lesbian is.
arrow "It is not right in the eyes of God." Well, then, please explain to me why God created these beings in the first place, then, or why He/She has not yet smote them down. God is love! GOD IS EFFIN' LOVE! SPREAD THE LOOOVE! ... -ahem- er... sorry.
arrow "Same-sex marriage is a threat to family values! eek " Uhm... how? One of the most stable and loving families I know is one in which my best friend on Earth was adopted by a lesbian couple.
No, I don't have homophobephobia. I just know what I'm talking about.

Awesome. I never take anyone who argues against something because it's "unnatural" on the internet seriously. The internet has got to be on of the most unnatural things humans have created.
Also, another point against the "GOD SEZ SO" argument: Not everyone believes in that God, therefore that does not apply to them 3nodding Whether or not it's true.
Plus, many of these people with the "natural" argument are going by what animals do. Well, homosexuality is not limited to humans. Animals have been known to have gay sex. There's actually a species of lizard that is entirely female, and they have lesbian sex to stimulate egg growth. They reproduce by means of that, so basically all of these lizards are clones of their mothers.
