REACHING BACK
i am in free fall
through a dark tunnel that delves deeper into
despair
and i am stupid enough to keep reaching skyward
nothing reaches out to catch me
and stop my fall
before i hit the bottom
that isn't really there at all
but i am also too stupid to want to catch or be caught by
anything other than
