As a human, Tasmia's childhood was particularly hard to deal with. Her parents were legendary thieves. They loved her dearly...and she returned their love, but there was always the fear that they'd get caught, that she'd never see them again. Her parents wanted to give her a rich life, the life they felt she deserved.
They took on a very dangerous job for a very powerful man. Perhaps it was the intensity of the heist itself...but they got caught, and they ran, and Tasmia's mother died that night, and because he'd failed, the man that hired Tasmia's father was the one to kill him.
Tasmia lived with a relative, but grew up with so much anger. When she was eighteen she killed her father's murderer, but it didn't satisfy her. The man was old by then, so killing him didn't feel as good as she thought it would. She became an assassin for hire, and her life was fine until she was commissioned to kill a Vampire Count. He caught her in her attempt...but her beauty entranced him, and so he made her his own.
Tasmia welcomed what she thought was her death, as she sought any release from her endless need for revenge. But death never came. She saw immortality as being forever cursed in her own body. Once she realized what she'd become she stayed with the Count only long enough to learn the things she'd need to know to survive. Then she left him, and has never seen him since.

Favored Equips: She usually carries a solid black trident with her. This was one of the few things the vampire that turned her had given her. Aside from being very sharp, it enhances her natural Shadowmancy [darkness] powers.
She also often wears a black scarf. The scarf itself serves many purposes, as it posesses its own soul. It was once a snake that Tasmia had saved from being killed. From then on it was always at her side. It was not immortal though, and would eventually die. It spoke to her, quite often, and expressed its wish to remain with her, always. As it lay dying she cast the soul of the snake out and into its own shadow. It became her scarf, to always remain with her, however it can now transform itself into just about anything she needs. For example, it can turn into a large raven to carry her across the skies.
When she still lived with the Vampire Count, he had given her a small vampire bat, telling her that people like them should always have a familiar. She took to the bat and named him Trevor. She cares for Trevor deeply, having raised him since he was a baby. Trevor tries to be the voice of reason in her life, and is very protective of her.

Tasmia tends to keep a very heavy guard on her true emotions. She's taught herself for centuries how to keep her emotions veiled from others like her. She often plays the role of a seductress, embracing the beauty that seems to have a firm grasp on her preternatural existence. She's a wild and reckless girl at heart, and doesn't fancy staying in one place for too long unless something can hold her attention. She has her soulful moments, though, and while it's rare for her to let people close, she'll do anything to protect those dear to her.
