I spent most of my waking hours cleaning my house today because my mum is coming to see me, coming back from her week long trip to visit her friend in Sydney. So I wanted it to be tidy for when she gets here tomorrow. And I have a housing inspection on October 2nd, so I have to make sure my house stays in tip top condition for when that happens. I get sick and tired a lot, so I often don't have the energy to do the housework and it gets away on me a bit. I'm exhausted now and I still have a few things to do tomorrow but at least I got the main parts done. I have to mop, do laundry and get rid of some weeds growing through my back fence from my neighbours' side. And change the covers that I have on the couch atm because my cats sleep on it and make them furry after a while. I like to keep it covered to protect it from dirt and cat hair as well as be a scratching deterrent. Chi is the one who mainly likes scratching the sofa, even though she has cat scratchers around the house to use.
I changed my bedding, dusted, cleaned the bathroom and finally vacuumed. My mum might help me with the mopping if I am too sore and tired tomorrow. I always hurt my lower back when I vac and my RSI usually flares up as well. It IS nice to have a clean and tidy house though. Cat fur, cat litter and cardboard confetti from some of their scratchers makes a mess of the floors sometimes. They're all moulting because the days are warming up as well, so there's been more fur than normal and it's very easy to see the grey tabby fur on the white tiles.
Anyway, I just wanted to get the plat for writing a journal post, so here we are.
