Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends tomorrow! I dressed up my avatar to celebrate! She's wearing a brown wig to match with her autumnal kimono. Don't tell her turkey friends that she's got a dead bird on her platter! Lol.
Tis the season for harvest goodies and yummy feasts! I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow. It's going to be suuuper hot at 36-37C here tomorrow so I'll be staying indoors in the air con, except for when I take Possy back to the vet's for a check up and to get her hyperthyroidism medication. Learning she has the same condition as my sister's cat has been astonishing. But thankfully, it's easier to manage with liquid versions of the medicine. Apparently the medicine is honey flavoured and most cats enjoy the taste. So it should be easy to give it to her.
She had her teeth cleaned and one tooth extracted under anaesthethic on Monday. I was stuck at the vet that afternoon when I caught an Uber to go pick her up because there was a massive storm and the sky even turned green from it. But we didn't get any hail. A green sky normally means hail, or just a particularly intense storm. It poured for an hour while I sat and waited at the clinic with a very sleepy and doped up Possy. Lol. Some parts of my state did get hail and even golf ball sized hail at that!
I think we're going to have another storm this evening and another after tomorrow's big heat wave. We have more hot days after that too but not quite as high. 33C and the like. I'm hoping I don't run up too big of a bill keeping my two portable mini air cons running till the heat subsides.
For Christmas this year, we're doing Secret Santa. Everyone is making wish lists and then we will pick names out of a container. I made a really big list so I should be easy to choose for. Also, my mum made a list as well. My brother, sister and my mum's husband are still working on their lists.
This year as well, I want to make angel crafts decorations for Christmas. Maybe just even using paper and glitter. But my mum agreed we can do them. I'd likely be doing them at my siblings' house with mum visiting us there too.
I am posting on rps today since I got far behind again. My IBS has been kicking my a** again. But I'm trying to be sooo so careful to not get IBS attacks. I drank a can of Dr Pepper this afternoon but my stomach's been bloated and crampy since then so I'm praying I don't get an upset tummy later. I just need the energy boost to be able to write.
Also, a friend came back to the Floof Queendom server on Discord. I was relieved that he's still around. I wish his situation would improve though. At least he has a boyfriend now so he's not so alone.
I still love Momma CQ as well. I want to finish the fanfiction I started writing for it. And I have to write a Christmas short story to share with my family this year. I want to. It'll be nice. I got to draw something for my brother and pair it with a small bit of text as well. A small story or poem. It's been so hot that I haven't felt like sitting at my kitchen table and drawing though. I like to sit on the couch right by the air con in the living room. I better do it soon though.
