Yesterday, I was attacked, verbally, by a whole group of insolent people that couldn't see past their own music viewpoints. Obviously, someone who doesn't like 'Usher' is a sin or a legal offense punishable by .
Okay, so they were listening to it in their little C.Q. room thingy when I came by to sign out from my detail for the day. They were listening to 'Usher', and dancing around making complete fools of themselves in a 10' by 10' room, with a table in it. So, all was fine and dandy until they asked me why I wasn't dancing or confirming that I liked it. I straight up told them I don't like mainstream music. OOOoooooohhh, big mistake, I guess, the three dumbasses got up and started insulting me and taking the paper away I was writing on, and kept on saying in 'rapese', or slang, that I couldn't understand. I eventually signed out and left. As I left they were still screaming from afar.
This is the I deal with on a day-to-day basis, everyone I meet either is listening to the music already, or is talking about it like a religion. And people wonder why I stereotype everyone who likes this mainstream crap. Whenever I give an honest opinion, a right given by the bill of rights we're sworn to protect, I get ridiculed and insulted for not liking it.
There is no way I'm ever going to consort with trash that is so self-centered. They can't realize that people are entitled to their opinion and are allowed to listen to other music than 'what's popular'. I'm so sick of this world and especially the people who occupy it. stare
